Agreed. Good TV lighting is a far-fetched and frankly lame excuse for the design fail. These slapped-on expansions suggest that if there was even any original cohesive expansion vision for the original BMO Field, it's dead. BMO v2 reeks of a Montreal-style construction deal. Or just shitty design.

At BMO now, just took a sit in 112. Roof makes this place feel much more massive. No luck in the wind department, doesn't feel any less than the usual breezy at best.
I'll throw up a video in a little bit.
Just drove passed BMO on the Gardiner, looks really nice even with half the lights on. Can't wait for the Home Opener!
In that video, the south canopy doesn't look as high as it appears to be when standing outside the stadium.
Nice vid. Thanks. How this all feels at night will be the key. There's a sense of the South being loosely enclosed while the West and East are covered.
It looks fantastic.
It looks weird without the North stand.
I think I like it overall though.
Have they removed the TFC paintings in BMO?
Thanks for the pics and video. Can't wait for May 7th. T-minus 12 days
It looks like they added the missing sections to the end of the roof. Looks good even with one side of lights.
Not sure. As you can see in photos it's fenced in. Below is bolted metal siding, doesn't look like it'll move at all so no "retractable" seating under that. I think I've once read that the front row seating will be stored off site, so I'm expecting something to get rolled in and out for games.
I do not envy the construction staff right now, there is so much to be cleaned up around there. Likely will be alot like last season when we finally got in and the place was still a work in progress.
Although again, I will say again, save for the north end not being there, it's pretty fucking awesome to stand in 112 and look around.
I am anxious to see the south canopy in person. That video really doesn't give me any good feelings about coverage in the last row of the south end. They really couldn't have extended it another 10 ft at least to cover the accessible row better? I have the feeling rain days will be business as usual for my row. Trying not to make any judgement until I actually see it myself but I haven't seen a shot that makes me feel optimistic.
Yeah we just might unless my wife is using her wheelchair that day otherwise we will be stuck or maybe we should sneak into the accessible seating halfway up the east stand if we can. Not like we haven't been in our seats in the rain before but would be nice not to have to if there was an option.
Not gonna pretend I like the North coming down, but if that open space is fully of drunken idiots who wanna be close to the bar at all times, It's gonna be awesome to see.
looks great...but i wish they would made the east end upper deck a bit smaller and add those seats to the south end for a more balanced look.
