I hate the CFL demolishing thousands of seats and ruining the atmosphere.

There's been playoff format threads in 2009 and 2011. Feel free to check them out.
FORMER FULL TIME KOOL-AID DRINKER
West stand looks good, not great (too bigger gaps at the rear)
East looks fantastic - a proper football stand, mostly closed in at the back
South - just looks odd still.
I can imagine a lot more atmosphere coming from the east this year.
The dot is from the period that's supposed to follow an initial.
Toronto 'til I die - but I think they're trying to kill me.
Tdot is straight up OG
pff the six
I'd just like to point out I was OG before there was a G to be O.
I bet you are going to have to explain now why there is a period after the T and the O making it the Tee-Dot-Oh-Dot. Haha.Originally Posted by Fort York Redcoat;
Totally agree! Overall, these pictures from the inside look much better than previous aerial or outside photos that have been posted.
East looks awesome! West needs some serious work. South looks ridiculous but could look great with a permanent upper deck like is shown in one of those argos drawings. I'm really hoping they continue to work on this stuff as well as the outside of the stadium, the backs of the stands have a very "unfinished" look to them.
Can anybody confirm if the East and West roof are the exact same size? They look very similar in these pics and it shows why it was necessary for the west roof to be so much higher than the west stands.
I believe it is "The 6ix" not "The Six"
Some of this sounds like the discussion that Baby Boomers are having about Prince today - people understand it exists but don't get why younger people like that stuff so much.
I really hope the new roof blocks the wind coming from the lake. The wind can turn a sunny 16 degree day in April from having your jacket open into a day where you need a hat and gloves.
In the south end there is no hope for any wind to be blocked with the roof that high. I know what you are saying though. The flipside is those really hot days when having a breeze feels nice so I guess it depends how you look at it. I could see the east and west stands getting a little more wind protection though depending on where you sit.
Balanced lighting doesn't matter much. Whatever gives TV a good image is all that matters.
Your comment suggests you never visited Maple Leaf Gardens when the Leafs played there. Lighting from the bench side was about half the intensity of that from the penalty box side. But the game feed TV cameras sat on the penalty box side so it looked good on TV. If you were sat on the bench side, everything was bizarrely back lit. Same thing in Montreal, Vancouver and Edmonton with their old NHL arenas.
If you were to meter the light levels from game one this season and compare readings a couple of seasons hence, you'll see all sorts of dim spots emerge as bulbs wither or as wind and gravity shift the aim of light units
You may safely assume the back of the west side upper will be filled in someday with additional seats, suites or media facilities. It's just a matter of waiting until supply exceeds demand.
