Just tuned in, and yeah, the commentator is terrible!

Looking forward to seeing how Chapman develops. He's really stood out in this game. Easy to see why Vanney brought him into the first team.

    What has happened to Hamilton?

I know it's unfair to judge based on a friendly but he's looked quite poor the times I have seen him play for TFC II. It's like night and day when you compare his performances with Wilmington last year.

I liked the way the TFC youngsters were passing it around.

Sunderland didn't sub much. Were those mostly starters, 2nd string, or a mix?

Sunderland: Pantilimon, Jones (Matthews, 46), van Aanholt, O'Shea (c) (Beadling, 46), Brown, Larsson, Cattermole, Rodwell (Bridcutt, 46), Johnson (Giaccherini, 46), Defoe, Fletcher (Watmore, 85).
    Subs: Pickford, Mannone, Buckley.
Toronto: Bendik (Bono, 32); Morrow (Morgan, 46)(Hamilton, 75), Perquis (Osorio, 32), Zavaleta (Thomas, 32), Jackson (Aparacio, 46); Lovitz (Chapman, 32), Cheyrou (Bouchard, 32), Warner (Creavalle, 32), Delgado (Dike, 32); Giovinco (Mannella, 32), Findley (Babouli, 57).

Sunderland is done with their pre-season tour of N.A., they have a couple friendlies left back home before their first game of the season in a couple weeks so I assume this is close to their starting team.

Thanks, I didn't realize Sunderland had subbed so many at half time. That's when the stream was down.

NYRB B team just beat, and scored 4 goals on, Chelsea's A team. Pretty remarkable.

As it just might be against Mexico, they'll likely all be kept.

Hard not to be impressed with Mannella tonight. I don't think he'll ever set the world on fire but he looks like he could be a solid and dependable pro. It would be great if he could take over as a starter from Cheyrou in a couple if years.

Because the gold cup is played twice between confed cups. If two different teams win, they playoff for a spot at the confed cup. USA won the 2013 gold cup, so they will play against the winner of this years gold cup for the concacaf spot at the 2017 confed cup.

Saddest thing I've ever seen? Fans on the sunderland "ready to go" chat board in their match thread are actually excited to have beaten our youth team. They didn't believe the announcer that it was our 'b' team and even the ones who did thought that meant our bench and reserves.

They're quite excited about how they played against a team of teens, semi-pros and 3rd division players! After reading that, I declare them the saddest professional team in existence, and would like to remind anyone still pained by the past sordid eight seasons that we are, in fact, not Sunderland.

Cause CONCACAF has to pay some massive legal bills. Its pretty obviously being set up to be Mexico in that game.

Maybe we gotta drop out of Concacaf. Lets apply to Conmebol on some sort of humanitarian/refugee grounds.

Fixing this has to start somewhere, with someone...

We were missing our three new signings, Kaboul, Lens, and Coates. Apart from that, close to the first team.

Most of that is pretty much tongue in cheek after an awful pre-season for us so far. I think it was just hilarious how biased the commentator was and how he seemed to have a massive hatred for Defoe, particularly when he scored two goals.

Let's just flip this on its head for once and point this firmly in the direction of those that love to compare MLS sides to UK sides. I'm gonna go ahead and let them give us that respect and not shit on their sides quality. Just cause its the

    friendly

    thing to do
