Well said, i was more suggesting of his performances of late. but, in many ways you've proved my point, these 'reclamation projects' are definitely do-able for coaches who are patient, encouraging and love to coach (and un-coach) players.
Who knows what will be said of Findley this time next year, but at this point, i think he was an astute pick.
I'm willing to give Bez a chance here, if only because I want us to pull a Plata on RSL. Turnabout is fair play.
Thinking TFC should take a run at Kalif Alhassan from Portland in Stage 2. He is pretty good going at defenders one on one and he has scored a few screamers in his time. Could be an interesting option on the wing provided the price is right.
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

if the rumours about our interest in ferrari were real this season then i'd put money on us picking him up tomorrow
Its databases are often very accurate; both Redknapp and Mourinho have admitted discovering players while playing it (although in Redknapp's case I believe it was Todorov, so that didn't turn out too well.)
The problem is they don't have nearly as many contributing scouts in some countries as others, so you end up with nations in Europe that are dead on accurate right down to the youth levels and others in S.A, Asia and Africa where it's basically just made up.
How mobile is Jeff Parke these days? The fact that DC is getting rid of him doesn't bode well but he's been stellar for most of the last five or six seasons.
Big day today with the 2nd reentry draft followed by the opening of the trade window. Looking forward to seeing what happens within the league.
Any thoughts on Nana Attakora? Obviously not the starting CB we are looking for but more cover and maybe a revitalization to his career? Probably would be cheap.
I'd love to see Nana come back... he had potential but something happened I'm not sure he'll have be the player he could have become. I'd love to give him the chance to try though.. but that is nostalgia and sentiment.
I'd like to see Wynne back at a somewhat reduced rate. He could fill some holes. I'd be good with Nana too as you can't have enough back line depth.
This ^
I'd take them both back in a heartbeat... IF the contracts make sense.
IMO they would both be depth additions, not starters, so the budget charge of their contracts would have to reflect that.
Attakora was only on $65,575 last season, so I don't think it would be hard to get him at a decent backup's wage.
Wynne made substantially more, at $285,000. In the current MLS cap world, I don't think he's worth anywhere near that.
It is pretty unlikely TFC would be able to get him under contract for a figure that would make sense for bench depth (which is the role I think he should be in on a good team).
I feel like with Nana at the rate he was on with DC last year (around 65,000) or even a little less would be great as back line depth.
The only other thing I would take a chance on in Stage 2 is a CB (because it at least gets us first refusal if he can't get a contract in 7 days).
Wynne may still be to expensive (even with the option to work out a new contact if selected in this stage of the draft).

Jeremy Hall has opted out of the reentry draft. Wonder if we are renegotiating with him and they are close to a deal. I'd be suprised if it was us though considering how little playing time he's had.
Probably got an NASL deal lined up
If this turns out to be true, that's one less CB for TFC to potentially grab in Re-Entry Phase 2 this afternoon.MLS Transfers@MLSTransfers 3m3 minutes ago Soumare to Montreal today?

I thought we had the sixth pick? All these teams after us have passed? Did we pass?
