Bump
Flop? no. Wanker. probably, yeah. But he's our wanker.
He's climbing out of the flop house for sure.
Also - what is up with that whole point at himself after he assists other players thing?

Don't close this thread! Every goal he scores makes me love it even more.

That flick was beautiful. Great run to get into a threatening position, and topped off with an excellent finish.
Gil is going to score 20 next season. And a number of us who all argued in this thread earlier all look f-ing stupid!
This thread goes to prove that you need patience with new players, especially ones who are coming from foreign lands.
Good for you Gilberto, you are a good and classy footballer who deserves his wage. And nobody blames you for taking a few months to adapt to the MLS, its a difficult league to come into.
But guys let's not forget how long it took him to finally get his groove. It took way too long and we were too patient and we should have shipped him off at the beginning of the season when he was still getting used to his new surroundings and coming back to full fitness.
The end.
Hey Canary10, that beer we put on Gilberto vs Urruti isn't looking like a runaway anymore.
It's looking a lot closer.

Did the USA , of all countries, just fix soccer? - C. Ronaldo, May 27th commenting on the FBI-led investigations into fraud and corruption throughout FIFA.
Great goal, he showed quality on the finish and I hope we see more to come.
I do have to laugh at all the late comers who've misrepresented the earlier debate just so they can look like they know what the fuck they're taking about.
But what about that breakaway he had???? Is everyone forgetting the breakaway he missed???? He's still a flop!
Wasn't meant to be serious. Your personal dislike of him still remaines a mystery.

i don't see what is unlikeable about Gilberto at all. Seems to me like a guy who plays with a lot of passion and gives it 100% all the time. I am not sure what 'hissy fits' are being referred to as i have missed a couple games this year, but if one of them was the fight with JD which lead to his first goal, then i will have to disagree as that was awesomely epic.
