Ya know, I hate doing this, but...
At this time I want to admit that I totally underestimated RSL this season. I know, I know, they were the runners-up in last year's MLS Cup and came off a 16-10-8 record in 2013. I just figured they didn't make enough changes in the off-season to keep up with the rest of the West. Currently, they're leading the league in Point Per Match (2.09) and are sitting comfortably in 2nd place overall with 11 games played.
The biggest irony, of course, is how little press that club gets outside Utah (or even SLC for that matter). Their game against 3rd place FCD on the weekend should be something to watch.

Did the USA , of all countries, just fix soccer? - C. Ronaldo, May 27th commenting on the FBI-led investigations into fraud and corruption throughout FIFA.
Vancouver owning Seattle right now but Barrett has Seattle tied. Nice goal from Hurtado for Vancouver.
Urutti has his fourth for Portland.
Frei...whoops.
Disgraceful penalty call in favor of the Sounders. Let's see how their cult-like following colors this one. Demerit even kept his arms tucked in, and cleanly won a header.
Total bullshit.
Urutti gets two, including the match winner.
Prepare yourself for absolute bullshit.

How bad does it have to get for MLS to make a legitimate effort to fix the officiating? The replacement refs at the beginning of the year weren't any worse, if anything the small sample size makes them look that much better.
I'm still amazed at the way that Urutti affair went down last season, we waited so long to get this guy all the back and forth then he gets here and he is not given a proper chance to see what he can do, he hardly plays before being sent to Portland a complete joke and disgrace by the coach and management the way it was handle because the coach did not like him and did not think he could play in this league, well so far so good for Urutti at Portland, I mean the least this team could have done is give the guy a fair chance to see what he could do but no nothing he was let go without a proper chance incredible.

Seattle game was nostalgic: Barrett flopping around all game and then a weird bit of quality and then a cramp! Frei looks shell shocked, I think the injuries have taken a lot out of him, he looks beat up, slow and not confident. Probably a backup at this point.
Urruti goals weren't anything special. Haven't seen enough from him yet to really regret the trade (other than the way it was handled)
Donovan is now the leading all time scorer in MLS with 135 goals

Good week for TFC. All eastern conference teams dropped points to the west.
If we look at the standings by PPG, we're 4th in the east .. this having played the better teams in the league with most of our games on the road.
Romero's goal for the No-Impact should be GOTW. Incredible individual effort.
