Pirlo may be allowed to leave early in January. If they're shooting for the moon, that's where I'd start.

Wasn't the # that was thrown around 16 mil for salaries per year and 40 mil upfront?
Here's a good young player we should grab before he goes to Europe:

This kid looks promising, Angel Romero. Scored two the other night in the Paraguayan first division and is only 21. That's his mazy run on the third goal; looks like a good attacker in the hole.

Looks like he has good pace, can beat guys on the run, can find the goal. He had nine goals in 23 last year.

What about Fabio Quagliarella? Juve seemed looked like they were going to sell him on during the last window but they couldn't get a deal worked out with anyone.
I've been following the leagues down south statistically this year and have a list of about 40 guys there and globally under 24 who are all going to be hella good players or already are. You know there's a midfielder starting in one of the leagues, I think it's Uruguay, who's 16? He already has a goal in six appearances in the Primera.
There are so many young players we could grab now, while they're still cheap and underappreciated. At the very least, we could put out feelers to get them into training camp.
^^ Not going to happen with the current group in charge. What you are suggesting is the Payne school of thought, not the $$$ TL way of thinking.
Atalanta, Moralez: «Potevo lasciare Bergamo per il Canada»
Atalanta, Moralez: "I could leave Bergamo for Canada»
From Tuttosport

It translates to:
So he almost went to Canada, as we all know. I don't think there is much in our continued persuit here.Atalanta is finding its true Maxi Moralez. Although during this summer transfer window, he risked losing his own Argentine midfielder: "I received an offer from Canada, but I refused because I had unfinished business with people Nerazzurri had to show that they are not the player last year. "Stefano Colantuono is focusing on the full recovery of Moralez. He is trying, as admitted today at a press conference: "We played a great game against Udinese and now we hope to continue against Chievo, although it will not be easy. I miss the goal but we think every game: The goal is salvation. If I then find space and mark, even better

^ I just saw Phil, got it.
can we sign Camilo. is anyone watching their game like omg
Rumour is he signed in February 2012 for 2 years and option, so next February, he's up for contract negotiation. I'm sure TFC and other teams will splash tons of money at him. Depends on how loyal he is to resign in Van and of course if Caps owners are willing to match any salary thrown his way.
Edit: if TL were to go after Camilo, how marketable would he be in T.dot compared to say a Forlan or some World Cup star that had a good run in 2014 World Cup??

A 36 year old.
Isn't Lieweke on record as saying not that old?
BTW, when is Rooney's contract up?
Maybe his buddy Torsten Frings can put in a good word./facepalm
