This Forlan speculation isn't going to end anytime soon. I just want simple yes or no answer from him or TFC FO if he's coming or not.

For some reason, I get the feeling it was either Bierne or Cochrane. Probably the latter as he's trying to work the new faces to his advantage to eventually take over TFC.
Since there's nothing to be happy about TFC's current team, I'll add more fuel to the Forlan to TFC Fire. Newell's Old Boys have recently sold there top striker Ignacio Scocco to Internacional of Brasil. Newell's had a great run in the Copa Libertadores this season and Scocco lit it up internationally and during the Argentine Liga. I don't know if there's room for Forlan, or if they plan to use him with there new signing, but we'll see.

It could have been safely forecast that TFC v Chivas would be the most meaningless game in pro sports history.
The ratings for this game probably were less than 25K.

I think last night's game was the cure for hitting the F5 button. Even signing the likes of Messi wouldn't help this team right now. Suddenly, I'm becoming very apathetic regarding all the speculation. Roll on 2014.

And it isn't going to be the DP signing. What last night showed is how many pieces we really need. Probably at least a left back (maybe a right), one quality winger, and a central midfielder for sure. We need those before considering a Forlan imo.

I fell asleep at halftime actually and woke up a few minutes before that goal.
Forlan would still be a great signing for us. Look at it this way, in exchange for O'Dea ($560k or so) we can get both Forlan ($335 towards cap) and another Laba ($200) because combined it would be the same hit to our salary cap. That would count as our 2 new DP's. Then add 2-3 other players (winger, left back, midfield, whatever) and we'll definitely have a very different team.
It can be done. I'm optimistic. Get the reinforcements, fit the team together, and then finish strong to give us all hope for a great new season. That's the best possible scenario right now.
The shitty part of this transfer window is that we had the impression that TFC had a few targets identified. We knew there were multiple trips to South America to speak to players. It seemed as though we were just waiting for the window to open to snap up a few players. That appears to not be the case at all.
Have I hit rock bottom or do the rest of you get that moment of hope when you come to this page hoping to hear about some great move? It's ever so brief, but just for a fleeting second I have that sense of hope that we have signed someone big or make that someone adequate. Tell me I'm not alone.
A number of high profile managers actually use that Football Manager for scouting purposes, including Jose Mourinho. It's probably the most comprehensive list of players anywhere. I'm sure a bit more scouting goes on though than just finding them in the game
