@KurtLarSUN: Basically, #TFC will sign Urruti under a certain designation the league will approve shortly. If they do, expect a DP soon.
@KurtLarSUN: Payne: "Urruti is ready to come." #TFC
Also a player coming on a free loan from Argentinian juniors... Have a few players they can take and it will depend on how alverp ray does as to who they bring. Could be summer of January transfer.
Useful update from Larson here with all kinds of nuggets:

Basically everything we speculated on is still on the table. Sounds like if Rey performs in camp TFC will bring him in, if not it will be another player from AJ. Makes total sense that it would be Pablo Hernandez
Interesting that they don't plan to use the allocation spot, so we can cross off any incoming players going that route.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto
Hmm... KP wants to keep Caldwell and get that deal done soon.
Seems to be all about to kick off for his first full summer transfer window.
Have it on good authority that Califf is struggling with a weight problem, it is much more than just losing the pounds though. I do believe he will retire at the end of this season.
Unfortunately, there was a really nasty reason his trade did not go through earlier this year.
It'll be Bocanegra going elsewhere.
What designation will Urruti get - magic invisible player spot? Okay, in all seriousness...what designation?
I don't think the other Argentinos player comes until January after other contracts expire.
My magic # for new bodies this summer is..............4. Place your bets.
I made a poll just for you guys haha.
Interested to see exactly what this new designation is if everything plays out.
I probably said too much already, don't want to be a dick. I found out by chance if anything, it's not my place to elaborate. I'm sure it will come out in the media once the time is right. Would really love to see him stay on as a coach though, his MLS experience is important to breed the young'uns.
Otherwise, has anyone seen Urruti actually play more than one game? What kind of striker are we (potentially) getting with him? Based off his stats alone, seems like a good target man up front who holds the ball up?
Koevs, Earnshaw, Brockie, Braun, and now Urruti. Very decent striker depth by MLS standards. Now if only we had an attacking midfielder that could consistently provide them with service, this team might actually be able to generate some offense.
I wonder if we will play 4-3-3 now with Urruti being on the team.
I would suspect we'll play the 4-4-2 with the midfield diamond, which could be interpreted as a 4-3-3 depending on how you look at it.
Whoever they find to play the AM position will be key. I'm sure they've been itching to upgrade that for a while.
Good start to Alvaro Rey's trial. One assist in today's reserve match.
From TFC recap:
Former Impact striker Justin Braun made it four goals for TFC in the 58th minute when he headed in a cross from trialist Alvaro Rey Vazquez inside the six-yard-box.
Anybody else think that we may not be keeping earnshaw? with koef, brockie, braun, urruti, and silva capable of playing up front are the intl spot and $$ well used on him?
^ Yeah that went through my mind a bit. Don't think that's going to happen though. Koev's is too important to this club. Wish we could renegotiate his contract to something manageable under a DP salary. Think he might take it if we could
Some tweets about Pumas being interested in Urruti. Deal's far from done I think.
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”
-Eduardo Galeano
Hmm....Koevs Earnshaw Brockie Urrutti - Should we really carry 4 international strikers?
