I talked to Danny K at the Leafs game last night. He said he's feeling good but thinks he's about 2 months away.
Its good to see that they are looking elsewhere other than the three MLS academies.
Canada U-17:
- 8 from Regional clubs in Manitoba(1), Ontario(5), Quebec(1), USA(1).
- 5 from TFC Academy.
- 6 from Whitecaps Academy
- 2 from Braves d'Ahuntsic (Montreal, QB)
- 1 from Impact Academy
- 1 from FC Edmonton Academy
* Good representation for Ont.(10), B.C.(6), Que.(4), AB(1), Man(1), USA(1)
Here is your critical news item of the day:
http://www.thestar.com/sports/tfc/20...bmo_field.html
@JohnMolinaro: Just to be clear, Julio Cesar DID NOT train today. He was at BMO Field but didnt train due to "personal reasons." Not sure what it means.
Don't know what this means. Was in street clothes and left training before it was done. Hope it's nothing serious and he isn't leaving the team.
Memberships are jumping already this year, with at least one new member for every 7 renewing members so far!
Please remember to renew your membership or contact one of the membership team if you are interested in becoming a member!
There will be a membership table at Shoeless Joes tomorrow, and it will close one hour before scheduled gametime to allow the membership team the chance to get to the stadium and maybe hang a banner or two!
And the Red Patch Boys are continuing our tradition of sponsoring local teams. KW has sponsorship of a team, and this year, we are please to be supporting a longtime member, Bluenose, and his U14 Girls team in Whitby! His team is one of the highest ranked in Ontario, fighting with another member for the number 1 spot, Jamaicanadian! They will proudly wear an RPB crest through the year, and their team will be traveling to Spain later in the year to represent Canada!
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

I am glad this is happening the way it is. I know it sounds bad, but for our teams long-term sake we might as well as get this over with now. We have options to develop. How long would he have really played for anyway?
Being 34 now, he probably has lost the step he had last year.
How about SOMEBODY give us the truth to a story for once!
Not in Toronto news.
Today is Good Friday.
Let tomorrow be a good Saturday.
Home opener, BMO Field. Go TFC Go!

Merritt Paulson, owner of Portland Timbers story. Worth reading

Interesting article. Personally, I find the whole Portland vs. Seattle discussion is more like two guys gettinng out a measuring tape for their members, then about real ideas and issues.
