"C) Logan Emory
Emory is good value for price and is a better option than Adrian Cann."
I agree with the grade of Emory here. Not a starter but no one ever billed him that way. Cann when healthy has been a starter for us and a leader of the back line. Remember when Cann first came back from injury and there was finally someone yelling at the other defenders to organize them. It is a quality that I don't see any other defender on the roster have. Cann isn't an all-star defender by any means but for the last 2.5 seasons that he has been here he's been our most consistent defender and only leader on the back line we've had. To say that Emory is a better option that Cann is a cheap shot by the writer. Replace Aceval for Cann and there is no argument coming from me.
"D Aaron Maund
Am I wrong for expecting more out of the draft’s 12th overall selection?"
Yes. With the growth of the league few draft picks after the first 5 or 6 guys have the ability to come in and make immediate impacts as a rookie. Frei at 13 a few years ago isn' the norm and players taken in that range in the draft shouldn't be held to the same expectations. Frei was a top 6 talent in the draft but with so much talent at the GK position in the league he dropped.
The grade of D is fair but Maund has delivered pretty much what I had expected him to do.
Interesting side note. 5 of the top 13 selections in the 2009 MLS Draft play or have played for TFC. (Sam Cronin #2, O'brian White #4, Peri Marosevic #5, Jeremy Hall #11, Stefan Frei #13; Kocic was taken at #21).
mornin d
wow 2016 and things are looking up --- come on you reds lets go
ladies and gentlmen..
we are now TIED for last
with the portland timbers!!
Well if we continue this way.. and we can avoid losing more then 1 or 2 games.. in the next 14... (ya I know) then we are still in the race...
It's highly unlikely... but not totally impossible. It become easier if Chicago, Huston, or DC implode a bit.
I'm not holding my breath or anything but the numbers still allow for it.
LMAO So tentative, you don't even mention what "it" is -- I'm with you, though!

Also, concerning the friendly match: I think it's something of a Godsend; we might have been facing stiff competition, in the form of Chicago Fire, had it not been for the rescheduling of that match to accommodate a similar friendly match they opted to play.
After a long stretch of games every three days, the coach can decide how long, if at all, any of the first team takes part, in what amounts to a glorified open-practice. People are so concerned about injuries, but wasn't Frei's injury sustained in practice?
Just my take, anyway; don't mind these, with the right approach.

Miguel Aceval on waivers at the moment, being offered up to other MLS teams. If he clears waivers, I'm guessing he'll be released. #TFC

Whats the matter with playing Aceval with Henry is what I'm questioning. Is it that he is making too much money and taking up an International spot? You would think that he would thrive similarly to Dunfield or Emory in a "Hoofball" system. He's got one hell of a left foot you know.
Has he been listed on the reserves matches?
