MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto

thanks for the heads up oldtimer, that no was kind of an important word to be missing.
Ramy Michael writes about how his interest in TFC and in Canadian soccer in general has grown since year one:

Canada 2 Mexico 1, and that's the truth! looking back at canada's gold cup win feb 20 2000.
A game! and a win! a few thoughts from friday's 5-1 win.
and thoughts on Tam Nsaliwa's blog ripping canada and some of it's coaches (inspirered no doubt by paul james' book) for putting too much emphasis on character and not on simply winning. here's the original blog

TORONTO FC, 2017 MLS CHAMPIONS!!! (Still the greatest in league history!)
Carlo Corazzin and mark Watson were inducted into the canadian soccer hall of fame today, among others. here's what they were doing exactly 12 years ago today, setting up and scoring the winner in the semi final against trinidad and tobago. Continuing my look back at the 2000 Gold Cup.
Also, here's what we had to say about Canada's squad for the armenia game, and the tsn schedule release.

Still possibly the only known RPB to appear on Masterchef Canada.
(I think?)
You may have come across gay4soccer recently, (Because soccer isn't gay, but once in awhile, it kinda is) a newish blog that's a very good mix of important and fun, reporting on MLS and other soccer from a gay perspective.
Anyway, they have an 'allies' list people who are on board with their goal of ridding soccer of homophobia and transphobia, on the pitch and in the stands. Plenty of players, media, executives etc have signed on, but as of now, Waking the Red is the only TFC related ally on the list in any category.
Here's our pitch hoping to persuade others to join us.
there's also a Supporters Group section, with 9 teams (including Columbus!) represented. Is that something the RPB could get behind?
EDIT: Oh, I see you beat me to it TC.

Five Armenian Players To Watch
Armenia head coach Vardan Minasyan announced his 31- man roster for the game against Canada. Amongst this selection lie five key players that Canada needs to address if they are to come out of Cyprus victorious.
TFC v BK Hacken preview. what changes might we see to the lineup, who needs to impress, all that sort of thing. not much detail on the swedes really but oh well.
I was saying Boo-Chiba.
Thoughts on the release of Bouchiba.
BK Hacken game report. the Lambe's not as tasty as advertised, but aside from that, a lot of good things to take away from that game.
