Interesting article from the Guardian about the chanllenges of MLS supporters travelling to away games. Also highlights the Independen Supporters Council that Boris recently attended.

Eddie Johnson's story of what happened at Puebla. Moral of the story? If you're a player, get an agent
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”
-Eduardo Galeano
Rough story.
Not sure why these players don't learn their lesson. You get what you pay for. I know agents have a sleazy rep but they do facilitate careers and if you have a good agent, your career will be taken care of and he will be worth his fee. In my opinion, it should be about which agent to sign with, not whether or not to sign with an agent at all.
Actually it looks like Johnson had a pseudo-agent in place, but not someone he could trust implicitly it seems.
