As much as hard improved at the end of the season, Harden is a second CB, and will always be. What i mean by that he needs the other CB to dictate/ direct. The way frings did
Caiecedo as we can see cant speak English, so i wonder how that would work out

Direction is direction....don't need to know many words to command a line. Sentences not needed.....

seems that Ecks rate MLS as growing league. one of reasons he re-signed

Looks very good for a physical league like MLS.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto

Well, we complained about not enough social media interaction. That was 3 straight ours of nothing but TFC. Outstanding.

Excited to see Caicedo in action. Seems like this might be his kind of league - he's got the right amount of physicality in his style of play. That, and he looks very confident and aware in his role.

This isn't a joint project. The price has gone up because the scope of work has increased. TFC is funding it all.

How has the scope increased? are you adding any new features to the design?

Whoa! I thought you vacated these parts Paul! Shows what I know. I really thought there was government involvement for some reason. Well then good work, keep making MLSE spend on TFC

I just know that what a customer asks for and what they get are sometimes two different stories. Often they expect upgrades or make changes on the fly due to compliance or just out right re-design that costs time and money.

If it were double the price, yup, I could see inefficiency as a point, but a couple million on a multi million dollar facility just says changes and upgrades.
could be changes to the project, but i'd suspect a lot has to do with a couple of minor changes that add up in combination with materials being a bit more expensive from when the estimate was to now...maybe the decided that to build a more green building (LEED-certified) that uses less electricity/water etc...well then the materials needed to do that in the short-term are going to be more expensive, but in the long-term the maintenance costs and operational costs are going to be less than expected and it will equal out over x amount of years and then any years above that will be money saved, so in the longggg term, they actually end up spending less

i think (don't quote me on this) its an agreement between Downsview Park (are they a not for profit?) and Toronto FC/MLSE

TFC fronting the cost for some of their facilities being available to public use and the cost of the land is significantly less or leased or some sort of an agreement

What I thought was funny: Caicedo being asked in today's interview, if TFC staff had spoken with him about joining the team, last summer after the Canada - Ecuador game at BMO Field.

Totally unimaginable, that would be tampering!!!

number 3 in our system is RCB.

bob de klerk did a whole series of little half-time vignettes near the start of last season explaining the whole system they wanted to put in place, and the numbered formation that he was using was...

    -------1------
    ---3------4---
    2------------5
    ---6------8---
    ------10------
    7-----------11
    -------9------

There was an element of professionalism this media day as they had so many players to interview, returning players, hopefully positive draft picks. The set looked a cut above the previous renditions. I understand that the event was not at BMO field, it had the look of a well oiled production.
