Richard Grootscholten, the Technical Director and Head Coach of the Vancouver Whitecaps Residency Program. Born in the Netherlands, Grootscholten arrived in Canada with 20 years of coaching experience in Dutch soccer. In his previous position, he served as technical director of Sparta Rotterdam - the oldest professional soccer club in the Netherlands - from 2008 to 2010. Between 2006 and 2008, he served as head coach of the Sparta youth academy and assistant coach of the club’s first team.

some interesting stuff here, he clearly liked the city, the fans, the club as a whole and his teammates. Aron Winter? well maybe not so much, some interesting comments there, as well as talking about the influence of frings on the coaches, and much much more.
It's stuff like that, which should be in the news thread IMO. If Sportsnet did the exact same interview with Gold, it would be in Today's News
