Taking one for the team. New strip now up at East Side Stand Up!
I decided to watch the game at home and shades again of the old days, constant serious picture problems during the whole game including no play by play audio yet field audio was there even in the second half.
It simply makes no sense.

also our season going to mid October at the least, is 3 1/2 months longer than vancouver's did, which amuses me.
that and other random observations, along with some pearl jam here, as well as a more traditional match report here.

TFC Gets The Week Off
http://viewfromthesouthstands.com/2011/10/practice/
TFC players apparently have the week off to rest for the remainder of the season and the crucial Champions League game in Dallas two weeks from now. Thoughts on Aron Winter's choice.
Good question. off wallowing in what the fuck's the point land would be my own answer.
anyway, here's an article where I depress myself by looking at the options for Canada at the centre forward position.
Can Occean be the man for Canada?
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”
-Eduardo Galeano
I think that Winter has got it right.
Some time off, followed by some time for practice.
Obviously the focus will be on the CCL match and not Philly.
Given that Dallas have been suffering from exhaustion, a fresh team could be the best offense. It might help to know that Dallas has given their players 4 days off.
