Imagine - A stadium with a roof...
Who would have thought of that???
Toronto 'til I die although still a Leeds fan at heart...
have to keep all those fans dry!!
oh wait...
$160 MILLION?!!
Geez, that's nice.
TORONTO FC, 2017 MLS CHAMPIONS!!! (Still the greatest in league history!)
whatcha guys talkin' bout? Guess you've never been to BMO Field. It has a roof...
Very funny
I have a feeling that a roof is coming our way in the near future. Now that we're not selling out as easily anymore, it would seem like a good plan from a financial perspective to put a roof on BMO - and that's usually when TFC will move to spend.
i really like the look of the new KC one, it'll be good for them to get out of that baseball field eh?

I was just thinking this too.
TFC/MLSE aren't usually in a rush to spend cash.
And when they do, they usually open the wallet at key times in order to maintain fan interest and buzz.
Just as they did with grass, and DP... I think a roof would be a logical next step to keep interest in the club.
And I can't wait, because I am sure the atmosphere would be 100x better.

*siiiigh* seeing stuff like that upsets me. i know it's our home and all but BMO looks increasingly like a second rate park compared to these things.
THIS JUST IN:
Toronto FC have been forced to move this Saturday's game against DC united due to the OFSAA U16 girls soccer finals who had booked the grounds first.
Didn't it come out in a thread somewhere that they can;t put a roof on BMO for architectural reasons? No supports were built in and there's nowhere to put them?
I think we've probably seen as much development of BMO Field as we are ever going to. There's no space to expand any of the stands and it wasn't designed for that anyway.
If TFC (and MLS generally) ever takes off enough then we might feasibly see a new stadium being built for us like NYC, KC, etc, but only if MLSE think they can get their money back on it and then some. That's going to be at least a decade, if we're lucky, and more likely two or three lease renewals at BMO Field down the line because quite frankly, where the fuck would they build it? Any feasile location would cost a bomb in land terms, never mind construction on top.
We are the Angry Mob, we read the papers every day
We like who we like, we hate who we hate
But we're also easily swayed
Good little stadium they have there.
With the roof it definitely looks to be an upgrade over parks like Toyota, PCL, or Rio Tinto.
In a way i think we'll be lucky with BMO, because TFC down the raod will be the first ones to rebuild their stadium or make major upgrades. And let's face it, other than maybe Seattle (which is a push) you can't top our location.

money well spent
They deserve it. I've had nothing but good experiences with other MLS fans, and I put the supporters in KC at the top of the list.
BMO is the Skydome of MLS stadiums.
if you take time to listen and research you will get it right
I thought they put in a roof cause of the pan am games?
That's a nice terrace they have there.
