He left this morning to Miami where he would join his national team for preparation for their games vs. Puerto Rico.

EFE

All it says is that he's been called up and that he'll train with them.
Apparently they didn't get the memo that he plays in Canada...

i'd assume there would have been some sort of press release issued by the team if he wasn't playing

damn...what a big loss. my confidence for this game just went down quite a bit.

i think we can still win but i also know that with Guevara we will easily control the game.

I was speaking with my rep this afternoon, and he said we'll only be missing Edu.
    He said nothing about Guervara.

I just the full article on mlsnet.com

Toronto FC will be without Amado Guevara and Maurice Edu, as both are away on international duty. Edu is in the U.S. squad to face England at Wembley on Wednesday.
"It gives a chance to other players to get a place in the team, and then try and keep that place," said Carver.

I have no doubt that the quote below is directed at whoever will replace Maurice Edu in the lineup. Caver knows that Edu has been performing poorly of late, and I have no doubt in my mind that a strong performance from a sub will send Edu to the bench.

"It gives a chance to other players to get a place in the team, and then try and keep that place," said Carver.

I think itll be Harmse and Rosenlund in their places.
Could be wrong about Rosenlund and maybe he will play Cunny.
Ideally im not, not that i have anything against Cunny but id like to see what Rosenlund (who is supposedly an AM) is capable of

If the Golden God has to miss any games this is one of the one I would like him to miss, don't get me wrong, I want Guevara on the field for every game doing his thing but Montreal will be one of our easier upcoming opponents and we in my mind still have the ability to do some special things on the pitch against them.

I'd like to see Rosenlund in for Edu and Jarrod Smith up front next to Danny D. Of course, if Danny doesn't play, then cunningham and Smith might be a good strike duo

Really? He isn't that skilled. He makes STUPID decisions. He is tough I will give him that, but a liability.

May be a liability but he's better got league experience than some of our younger kids.

I agree that Harmes is Shite....all he does is get red carded or just plow through people with no reason.....the few times he was on the pitch it was horrible, and I cringe every time he gets up and warms up with the thought he might be in the pitch!!!
