    Default Red Bulls re-sign Angel

The Red Bulls are still shite, but they have re-signed Juan Pablo Angel through to 2011. A good move for MLS. Amidst the David Beckham soap-opera, it's good to see the league's most successful DP sticking around a little longer.

It never really sounded like he was going to go anywhere, but glad to see he is sticking around.

It sort of makes me laugh when people intimate that the Beckham experiment was a failure.

Im almost certain that players such as Juan Pablo Angel, Cauthemoc Blanco, Guillermo Barros Schelotto, and Claudio Lopez all ended up in MLS in part because of the exposure that David Beckham brought to the league.

Im glad Angel is staying as a supporter of the league in general. He's a fierce competitor and I look forward to watching him at BMO.

I can remember reading last October/November that he was thinking of returning to Colombia or going to Argentina.

at 33, JPA was going to get the best wages from NYRB. I suppose he could have moved back to SA, but wouldnt be able to make much more money than at MLS where he can play for several more years before calling it quits

Great news for the league. I love watching Angel play when he's not playing against us.

Yep, but I hope the fucker is injured when we play them, especially since we have no CBs left and are currently left with a RB and a DCM filling in there!!!

I hate the Red Bulls, obviously, but good news for the league as he's one of the best players in MLS.

A likeable player on a team I hate. Good for the Energy Drinks.
