    Default Musings on the Fortress

OK it's probably premature to conclude this but after watching these games this week....

I know every team in this league is better at home...but...

anyone else think that BMO is a MAJOR home field advantage for us?

If yes, I think it's because of three things that are unique at BMO:

    (i) field turf,

    (ii) the supporters, and

(iii) conditions, ie our guys' better understanding of how the wind blows

The wind off the lakes really can be a factor we can use to our advantage, at the reserve game on Thursday morning, I really noticed it big time, so with a good understanding of it, the Reds can take advantage of it.

    Done.

My concern is that BMO is making us a lot look better than we actually are.

It's important but it's not everything; my sole concern after this loss is that the team will come away too positive; confident is one thing, over-confident is something else entirely and their "well, we almost won" kinda comments are a bit worrisome.

I don't think TFC will be one of the worst teams in MLS if wasn't for our home field advantage. Beginning of this season, we didn't have players like Guevara and Robert. So I don't put too much value of the early losses of this season.

I voted "Somewhat" by I was tempted by "Hugely"

I just think KC and DC, in particular, were pretty ineffective on the turf at BMO, but have looked a lot better organized in general this year

Hugely Meaningful got my vote. This club clearly doesn't cut it on the road.
