TORONTO — If O'Brian White had entered Major League Soccer's SuperDraft last year, he would have been one of the top three picks.
The winner of the Missouri Athletic Club's Hermann Trophy in 2007 as the top U.S. college soccer player after scoring 23 goals instead elected to return to the University of Connecticut for his senior year. He suffered a serious knee injury that ended his season at 14 games (six goals) and made his status going into the 2009 draft difficult to read, as the Toronto native is expected to be out until the summer.
