Close Up: Toronto FC Year In Review
    December 26/08 2:45am

Goal.com's John Zielonka takes a closer look at Canada's Major League Soccer team and the season they had in 2008.

Toronto FC led a schizophrenic existence in their second MLS season. Their home unbeaten streak lasted until mid-August, while away points proved difficult to garner. The squad had difficulty in maintaining consistency when away from BMO Field and lacked depth when losing too many players to international and Olympic duties.

Anyone check out Dave Perkins' year in sports column in today's Toronto Star? He refers to Toronto FC as The FC!

But he also famously said soccer would never make it in Toronto, and he predicted TFC would fold after three years.

    So, you know . . .

We know to discount just about anything that either Perkins or Feschuk has to say in regards to "FC". They both hate MLSE and anything to do with the organization. Who knows if they like soccer or not. To hell with both of them.

This is true. Both columnists write as though they have a serious grudge against MLSE. That type of biased writing is not worth our attention.
