Default Asia's Beckham coming to MLS?

Could TFC be in the hunt?

South Korea's 2002 and 2006 World Cup hero Ahn Jung-hwan, is, according to reports in Seoul, wanted by a trio of MLS clubs.

The MLS city with the largest Korean population (by far) is Los Angeles. That's where he should go.

Why does it always have to be about the ethnic community?

What about the fact that he's a damn good player?

I guess Schelotto should go to Miami because they have the most Argentines?

Ah yes. The 'Lord of the Ring'.

I dont think he's the answer we're looking for. Doesn't score often, has lost a few steps due to age. He does score clutch goals and like most SK players, will play his heart out. He plays more as an attacking midfielder, playing just behind the lead striker. Can create a little, but IMO nowhere near Guevara level

Who the hell gave him the nick name 'Asia's Beckham'?

I think he's worth a trial, but def no DP material

nah, its usually to settle a player should they come from a place thats unlike the one they are headed to but in some cases they want to get away and be a nobody on the street. I think the dude would do fine here in TO to be hoenst we have a korean community that could prob provide to his needs should he have any and would prob otherwise leave him alone (ie not mob him in the streets)

Yep, though he's likely to go back to Japan at the end of the season.

Which is pretty weird considering he was a big advocate for foreign players. He even wanted to have a woman on the team. He apologized after and the dude was offered a contract again.

If Guevara or Marshall scored against Canada this cycle I would have expected nothing less than for their contracts to be terminated immediately.......

    Jokes of course haha

Nakata is long gone now. Retired pretty young but was all hype no quality. Definitely Asia's Beckham. Only success he found was at Perugia, the same team Ahn played for.
