This is an article about the players that will be out of contract by June 2009 (unless they sign a contract). So since MLS teams can't really pay for transfer fees some of these players may be on MLS's/TFC's radar.

I'm not saying MLS has a chance in hell of signing some of these players but some there seem to be some interesting players. I'm sure there are some much more educated guys on here that know a bit more about the players. One interesting name I saw was Julio Cruz. He's 34 but still scores goals fairly regularly in Serie A. Not saying TFC will sign him but someone in MLS must be interested in him.
