Nope!
When they announced the name and the logo there was an uproar over the feelings of Mexican/Americans who see the date as when a part of Mexico was stolen from them rather than when Texas was established.
There was some talk of the team being called Houston Locamotive or Locamotive Houston which would have been fitting since they have a train in their city crest:
Here's the original DCU logo. I've read here and there that it was deemed overly Nazi-ish, but I don't know for sure if that's the case.
I think the new one looks better, but not a whole lot less evil.
Was it the three soccerballs? Somehow supposed to symbolise the third reich?
I think the St. Louis one is great, but it should lose the united / sc at the bottom.
This was going to be the official one until Seattle and Philly got the nod...Maybe they will be 2011? Funny they still got soccer balls into it ig f you look closely. Only they're the current MLS matchball not the telstars we see everywhere else.

I STILL think the St. Louis one is great and NOW it should lose the 2009 at the bottom.
This is the Wiz one you were talking about isnt much worse then the current.
My favourite by far was the TB Mutany....It scares the crap out of me everytime I stare into its mediterrian blue eyes.
^ I'm not a big fan of attaching "SC" to the club's name, which is odd because I usually refer to the sport as Soccer. I think clubs should maybe look at using the often under-utilised AFC (Association Football Club).
I was hoping Seattle would have considered it for their club and my idea did generate some interest on Big Soccer.
