Carl Robinson has been named Toronto FC's player of the year for the second season in a row.

The Welsh midfielder shared the award in 2007 with defender Jim Brennan in the MLS team's first campaign. Robinson started in all 27 Toronto FC games he played this season, missing the other three matches while on international duty.

Forward Chad Barrett won the team's Golden Boot award as top scorer after joining Toronto FC from the Chicago Fire on July 27. Arriving with five goals under his belt, Barrett scored four more for TFC.

Defender of the year honours went to Marvell Wynne, who scored two goals this season while picking up just one caution and 17 fouls.

Defender Todd Dunivant earned the nod for the team's U.S. Soccer Federation Humanitarian of the Year. He was recognized for his work in the community, even after his season was cut short by an ankle injury that required surgery.

The awards, decided by player and staff voting, were announced at a dinner Tuesday.
