I like My Town and the video is awesome.

And really, YNWA is a showtune from a fucking musical. Do you think that there was a unanimous decision to sing that before games?

just wanted to chime in....

I understand that it is impossible to please everyone all the time,
but you can please some people some of the time. In this case,
the vast majority of feedback has been positive, so I consider
that to be success. There were many people involved in the
production of the song and the music video, and they did it
all simple because it's there. Rather than have a crappy
commissioned track like the BNL song, people who knew they
could do better stepped up to the plate and actually did better.

I'm proud to have been involved with the project. Not because it's
a video for my demo reel, but because it's something that so many
people actually enjoy. I know this is tacky, but lots of people said
things like I almost shed a single tear and that means something.



oh, and I'm not surprised that someone who calls himself jazz trumpet
would look down his nose at repackaged CanCon pop music form the 80's.
sorry.... but Coltrane wasn't available.

How about someone who appreciates music from basically every generation? Someone who appreciated and still owns Glass Tiger tapes. Are we not allowed to oppose opinions anymore?

I appreciate that it's better than BNL, but really, do you honestly think it's a better and more fitting song than some of the songs that were written by our own RPB's? I can't say I do.

I like this one. I don't know why people put down My Town. Is it outdated? Sure it is but it's all we have now. Until other people suggest something better live with it

I'm going into the studio to record a new TFC song on Thursday. It is not an anthem, nor am I trying to say it's going to be great or even liked by everyone.

I wrote it with the intention of it being a rally cry for when the team is down in a match or also for when we are on the road....as a song that can be chanted (in part) on the buses and in the opposition's ground.

I will post it when it's done.

My advice is to keep writing new and passionate songs, one of us, or some TFC fan will eventually hit the nail on the head and we'll have our song...or we'll have dozens of great tributes. Either way it's awesome.
