After spending a week in lovely Charleston, gotta say I'm cheering for the Battery and Marco Reeda (for those in the know).
They deserve to win just for having the BEST footie pub in the world at their stadium

Who ever wins this gets a birth in Champions League......you think MLS teams would take this more seriously.

i think the record for most fans at a US Open Cup game in recent years was like 12,000 fans at the final in Chicago in 2006.

yes, Fortress RFK (due to our ridiculously better record at home than away). Our photographers were on upper bowl shooting so it was done with that in mind, this one was shot by DC staff guy (who also knew how it will look like but they have other things to do than be Barra photo crew hehe) Their photos looked great tho video kinda malfunctioned :/

8000 is disguisting, I wish Open Cup would get proper respect. But what do I care, our sections were filled to capacity, we can't make regular fans come too.

With a little promotion this tournament might take-off, someone is missing out big on advertisement dollars and TV revenue.

I enjoyed the game - Charleston's not bad. That offside call in stoppage was questionable.

As for best supporters in the League id say the top 3 are DC United, TFC and Chicago....Chicago comming in 3rd.

TFC got the numbers and the stadium and are very vocal. Sell out every game even non MLS matches such as the Canada Championship games. While DC are very vocal and have good numbers on a regular basis but not all the time. If DC ever get a SSS that could change things tho, its kind of shitty playing out of a NFL stadium. DC are probably the only team in MLS who do real TIFOS tho, that looks straight out of Europe or somethin. And i love the flag and smoke displays to. They are #1 by far in MLS at the visual aspect.

DCU has gotta get Poplar Point up and running......RFK is too cavernous to create a truly intimidating atmosphere...well for MLS standards anyways.

Its too bad....DC are actually the only team in this league that know how to run a proper and competitive football team. No one even comes close really....maybe Houston. (new england doesn't get a mention because of poor fan attendance)
