When I see games in both europe or south America. I see an occasional dive here and there in various european legues. When I watch games from South America I just notice a lot more diving and antics compared to european legues.I am not putting anyone down but this what I see. A couple of friends of mine one from Brazil and the other from Argentina say the exact same thing Its just how it is!

And then some guy will come on here and argue that he sees the same in Italy.

Then another will put up a Gerard diving video.

Then another will put up a Ronaldo diving video.

Let's agree that diving is found in many parts and if you have a point to make, make it about diving and stop using your "friends" as an excuse to be prejudiced.

That's like saying because I have black friends, I can use the "n" word. Its an ignorant argument.

schelotto is an absolute joke and disgrace. for the argentine football association, the fact that he has played for the senior men's team is a travesty. if it were not for the terrible officiating he would have been sent off for his multiple dives and for his dissent.

if he wants to cheat and delay the match, he shouldn't come to a league where we appreciate and are looking forward to the growth of the game in our country. the way he plays is NOT what major league soccer on the whole wants to see.

fyi, if i was coaching a player who requested a substitution because his dives were not fooling the referees he would be benched indefinitely if i ever saw something like that again.

If I was Carver, I would have also mentioned (in his post game rant) that the league needs to discipline Shitotto for 1) yelling at the linesmen and refs and 2) for not just one but multiple dives. If the league does not respond...then they are being unfair to Carver who had en entire DVD made up about him. Fuck that!

While completely accurate, I think this thread wins the "Most Obvious Topic" award!!! As for Kevin Stott, I read their post-game thread on Big Soccer and they feel the referee was against them and screwed them over! This after the fouls were 14-6 in their favour. Can you imagine? My only gripe with Stott is that he let the Schelotto farce go on way too much.

I skimmed that thread, what a bunch of whining sissys. Fouling is integral part of the game. If the ref lets you get away with it, you're stupid not to do it. 14 fouls is nothing out of the ordinary. Go look at the stats for number of fouls in matches played this past weekend in Italy and Spain and you'll see that some of the best teams in the world fouled more often than 14 times a match.

i could not believe the ref took so long to give sc-diver a card
unbelievable i am going to watch another crew game to see if he
is always that bad---if he is he should be tossed for good --- that
was the worst abuse of diving i have ever seen in mls

Hehehe... After watching Schelotto's amazing rendition of Les Miserables ... I thought of a good way to welcome him back to Toronto in September when we face the yellow soccer team again. Everyone should buy Yellow Swim Caps and goggles. Paste a Crew Logo and Sharpie '7' onto the side. It would be awesome if we can coordinate this!



This would go very well with the score cards as well!
