We deserved an ugly win going our way after last week, great resolve to hang onto it at the end

Ugly wins....if that is what it takes then do it. We have issues and injuries but at least we have clarity and they fight for the badge & each other.

In points per game, which is all that really counts at this point, we are now 5th.

This stat makes it really impressive just how awful last season was.

Like this team ain't great this year by any means and are missing 2 of our best players (Richie, Insigne) but still managing points.

Marshall Rutty looked really good as well. Managed to pin them back a couple of times breaking down the wing, just knocking balls by guys. That header to set up Owusu was pretty, too.

Were both teams as bad at the back as the 7 minute highlight package seems to show?

It looked like the score could've easily been 4-4 or something.

It was weird - that was not a "chance after chance" game but chances just sort of erupted out of nothing. Most chances came from mistakes.

Most of the game was spent with presses that didn't quick work but then 2 clogged up midfields that soaked plays up.

Porter ball is all about creating enough chances that your DP attackers will score or your lunchbox types will get that 1 out of 20 where it works- he is a type of classic MLS 2.0 coach - the possession will in and of itself mean we win sort of approach. But Carlos Gil was constantly marked and never got room to manuever so they didn't really apply pressure.

We certainly should have had at least 2. Osorio forgot how to shoot and Berna with a rare penalty miss.

This win reminds me of our first couple where we were largely defensively solid but bailed out by one huge SJ save.

Wasn't able to watch the game, but wow what a goal by Prince. A goal worthy of Gretzky's 99

Well deserved result, unbelievable goal by Prince. Good to see the floodgates have opened for him as we need him to produce.

Nice to get a win, my ptsd from the last three seasons can’t handle more than two losses in a row. Amazing goal by Prince!

He seems to be doing that an awful lot since being in a position of authority (captaincy). Oso is not the man for the job, I think you have to have a specific mind set to be a captain. Stick to being a decent midfielder.

The team is doing a good job of hanging around games and not giving up. We still have a lot of work to do but I can feel not guilty about watching.

Unlike with Bradley and Armas where I outright questioned my sanity for bothering.

Armas is doing well in Colorado. He has a young team of non-hotheads.

Totally agree with you. If I'm thinking of a captain, I need someone who is passionate, focused, always competitive but calm and resolute. If I'm Herdman, I have a private meeting with Oso, show him the video and ask him directly what his thoughts are after seeing it. With the underlying message being, this is not leadership.

I think we are coming up to a crucial set of matches.

We are away to Orlando next which is always tough.

Then we have the next 4/5 at home. If my math is right Insigne should be back for all of these too.

Last week I thought I heard Herdman say Insigne was running now but was still 3-4 weeks away from full training.

We're so much better coached, that is pretty clear. That goal from Prince was insane. It was directly in front of my seats. I couldn't tell what he did or how he got in the net. Watched multiple replays and I'm still not sure what he did or how he got it in the net. I'm really glad to see him doing well. I've liked his work rate and attitude. A clinical striker is still a need but he's doing great atm.

I hope not. That would be longer then the initial 6 week timeliness they gave.

Is there a discussion thread for the Simcoe County Rovers game on Wednesday? I was totally unaware this was coming up until I saw the TFC email just now.

That guy has been given so many unwarranted opportunities to succeed after repeated failures I have a hard time giving him any credit.

The rest of us can only wish we were given so many mulligans in life.

What time does someone have to arrive to see he players show up? 7:30pm, kick off what time did the players arrive? I see the pictures of players signing stuff for fans and would like to go with my son next time.
