We seem heavy of foot today. That sequence we should've easily been able to move it through the middle. But Long's poke is too hard to Longstaff, who then traps it badly and it caroms back to them.

Shooting ourselves in the foot. Vancouver doesn't look that impressive.

turf in 2024 is so bush league to have in a league thats spending 50 mill+ plus equity to messi lol. sometimes i feel like some teams just elect to keep it because of its advantage over teams that are used to playing on quality. Games always feel sloppy and lame whenever we come here

Sooooo....this is where we see if this team has heart.

    Loss at home

Away against a team motivated to slam us.

    On turf

    2 down

    What have you got boys?

Yeah, they'll probably blame it all on the turf.

JMR continues to play well. Skinned Picault nicely there.

The tradition is that when someone plays well they stay in. And Rosted played pretty well in the last game. And he's not bad in the air. I don't think he misses that cross.

Work rate is there, we're just making all sorts of little mistakes. Pretty sloppy, and they're not.

i see a squad unable to judge weighting of the turf and unwilling to commit 100% to each play in fear of rolling ankles or having to pull up - whereas vancouver is completely at ease with it

although we are picking it up past few minutes

Gahd, Osorio's movement is terrible right now. Does he really think our central defender is going to try to thread it between two pressing attackers? Jesus H.

Wel... pretty shit half. We worked hard, but so sloppy, and the support movement and decision making seemed laboured and slow.

Vancouver deserve the lead, although frankly, this is a team we can beat. Days like this we really miss Richie.

Not impressed by Osorio today. Covered the wrong man on the press twice, which is why Fede was yelling at him to get over to the wide outlet, and when he came back into our end to receive the ball, he doesn't use space wisely.

Just not playing well. Gomis looks his age today. O'Neal has been okay but blew coverage twice by staying too far inside.

    Fede working hard.

There are signs there we might be able to pull something back, though. Once you get past Vancouver's high line they don't offer much resistance.

Yeh, grab your opponent and fall

Interesting bit out of that is that's their fastest player pulling that crap as he knows Spicer is able to defend him at pace.

I also get the feeling both these commentators would blow Vanni if they had the opportunity.

The officiating in this league is so naive.

These 2 have been the VC calling team now since the TSN days. They only call VC. Nobody else goes there unless its Messi or playoffs. Their objectivity was gone a long time ago.

Well our central defenders thinking our DM would do that is what caused the first goal soooo.....

To be honest, we've been playing this "yeh the last guy will somehow fix this" way all season and VC noticed and is creating chances off of that.

When one of them said "fairly even in chances but VANCOUVER DOMINATED possession..." and it was 54/46, it became fairly apparent they're watching something not quite related to reality.

Yeah, and that's their MO. I'm sure Herdman told them White will press with the desperate intensity of a dying man trying to reach a last drink of water. It's what they do in every game.

O'Neil is the sacrificial lamb? Or are we going 442 or something? He wasn't the worst offender by far.

Has Spicer forgotten he's the left wingback?

He just walked back on that last foray.

    Long is so good

Spicer is really intriguing in his potential

    JMR is coming along

Gomis has a lot to build on

Future is bright.....a lot of holes though.

cassius sighting - but can we do an entire game without an akinola sub... with all due respect the guy does the same amt of work as someone who's just ran for 79 minutes
