Gavran starts? Bernie as a 9? Maybe Insigne as kind of a false 9? Definitely gonna be a lot of inter change between that front 3, I think.

    No Sean Johnson?!?

A Google search brings up zero articles or info regarding any potential injury

Nice to see Gavran gets some playing time, he needs to continue his development.

Also of note, no Latif Blessing in the squad at all. Gotta think he is on his way out now that Longstaff is ready.

Well here we go again… kinda feeling more optimistic than a month ago. Considering the weather that was shaping up this week ….. this isn’t bad. Thanks to those that crossed fingers, prayed to weather gods etc.

He was holding his groin at one point in NE but guessing he got a last minute knock so they’re being extra cautious.

I'll miss the first half because of this stupid thing called employment, but let's go! Easy win incoming.

When he did that my heart skipped a beat, but then he continued no problem so I thought it was just a stalling tactic ... hopefully it's not a groin thing.

Herdman is very cryptic and sometimes intentionally misleading about lineups just to play head games with opposing managers. Suspect we will see plenty of this.

It still floors me just how much of a difference it makes without Richie. We're a completely different team. We lose like 50% of our attacking danger without him.

But holy shit what a save Gavran.

Gomis is giving me major 2017 Mavinga vibes, between the left-footedness, ground-covering, and sometimes questionable passing. He's better on the ball than Mavinga was though.

    Coello had a rough half.

They're set up well tactically, with a high defensive line but also very little space between defense and mid. With only one striker, most of the time we don't have enough to occupy their backline and create space for the other players.

Great save from Gavran on Copetti. Long probably wanted that challenge back, got torched on that one.

Great read by him earlier in the game though on a clever piece of movement by Charlotte, would've had a clear path to goal.

The whole "have the Italians play off each other" approach with Oso as a false 9 isn't really working; offensive players are too spread in transition, and having trouble breaking their back line.

We’ve got nothing going forward. Oso up top just hasn’t worked.
