NYCFC have been very good recently. This will be a tough match.

If Lorenzo is available I assume he starts. No point waiting till later in the match.

I’d love to see Insigne on the pitch if he’s ready to go.

As a few people on this board have pointed out, this home stand is important. As for this match, if we lose it, other results should go against us. Charlotte vs Nashville, NYRB vs New England, Philly vs Orlando, Columbus vs Cincy could all put clubs past us or within a point or two (including NYCFC). If we win, we stay clear.

I'm not worried about standings or anything for the first half of the season. For me, we already surpassed my expectations based on our minimal roster changes. I just hope we stay competitive, keep matches tight, and don't have a run of 3-0 losses. Hopefully in the summer we get some reinforcements and my high hope this season was to make one of the play in spots.

everyone in training today apart from o'neill, laryea and servania.

looks like injuries have slowed down.

nycfc have been good recently but largely due to a long run of home games.

they have only earned 1 point on the road all season.

won't be easy but it is another winnable game.

I am a bit apprehensive about Insigne given the weather. The field will be slick.

If TFC can get a 2 goal lead going into the last half hour, I think keeping Insigne on the bench is the smart move.

I think he gets 20-30 this game & the start on Wednesday. The target for him to be fully back firing on all cylinders is going to be the Montreal match.

I am pleased to be able to watch this… and curious to see/hear how Greg Sutton does.

He's been decent so far this season.

Tough game. NYFC had 10 points in April.

I really wish people would learn to leave home 15 minutes earlier. It must be somewhat demoralizing for them to always come out to a half empty stadium. I know from years of people telling me how difficult it can be there sometimes, but if the place is pretty much always to full attendance 15-20 minutes after kickoff....

We have most of the ball, but they have been dangerous a couple of times on the counter.

Rain definitely causes some people (could be a couple of thousand) to sit under the stands and wait it out, especially when forecast is for it to stop in a few minutes (as is the case tonight)

I feel the rule on those types of plays is harsh. It is almost impossible for a player to have a conscious reaction to a shot hit that hard at close range.

But those are always called. I have no gripe with the call.

That's because Toronto is not a sports town. Sure there is a small hard core following, but there are a significant amount of people at each match who view going to a game as a night out and don't really care about the result. Same thing applies to the Jay's, which is why they took out seats and put in bars and lounges at the Roger's Centre.

Don't they have a reverse angle for VAR though? Longstaff was saying it mostly hit his body. Of course he could be lying but you'd think they should be able to see all angles on VAR.

Bah. Beating ourselves a little today. They're just a little more disciplined.

Fede a little late to pick up the wide man there. 2-0

Well taken goal but a guy doing that through our midfield is not good enough.

Yeah, that was as good of a look as he’ll get today I would bet.

Anyway, let’s see how we bounce back in the 2nd half. NY don’t look particularly good.
