Coello working hard but I counted 4 give away's the costed TFC almost every time. Needs to do better. New turf is rolling the ball slow. He needs to adjust to this.

Only word i'll give that half and how we've been so far through both games is stable. Said it earlier in chat discussion but it still reminds me of when vanney's team were initially setting up the squads harmony, built around just stable structures and stable game plans. Absorb pressure and just stay cool headed and clog up space during the duels and scrambles, and get into space to receive the ball when its turned over.

Flores, Long, O'Neil, Petretta, and new guy gomes are seemingly on the same game plan of sweeping out balls and getting em out of threat areas. Its been promising for sure

It's clear the italians are buyin' into the Herdman roadmaps cause both have been chipping in on both sides of the ball they usually would shrug off in the past. Insigne looks like he's enjoying himself, and when he's in that element-feels like the rest of his form/accuracy come with it

    Excellent first half!

Kevin Long - a brick wall
    Insigne - BEAST

Great effort from everyone. Need to keep pressing in the second.

The defensive buy in by the whole of the team is quite impressive.

We could easily lose this one with our give aways & lack of depth & its not like we have gone behind or anything yet - mentality really hasn't been tested yet, to be honest.

    & yet...it feels different.

Here are some frightening my stats -

We actually scored a goal on the road ! - they have not scored in their last 8 road games in all competitions - June 24th of last year was the last road goal (at New England) and they still lost 2-1….

They have been outscored 25-0 on the road since that game last June in NE —-

Wasn't expecting that scoreline. Nice to see. But yeah, do we have what it takes yet to hold on for a half with basically no bench.

It’s too bad Kerr is not available. He would be a good 2nd half sub in this situation.

CrApple TV commentators are so amateur. Need to bring in the English with heavy accents. They do it best.

Coello had problems with turf last year...somebody needs to file away some cuts from this video to show him again before we play Vancouver & Charlotte next month.

Akinola missing that one even if it was offside was not good....it looked lazy.

Offside or not Akinola needs to finish that. What if review said he was onside. Disgraceful.

Why exactly is that a call against Flores?

Also, Sean Johnson is in great form. So nice having a reliable goalkeeper.

I would let the Akinola experiment run a few more games, if we still sucked… but we are playing well.

This has to be it. He is costing us bad out there.

Although I like the passion why do we have 3 coaches barking out instructions to the players?

EDIT - all in the coaches box

You can see why Flores was the first guy TFC targeted and signed this offseason.

This camera work is awful. MLS should be ashamed of this product.

I don't really call that running....which begs the question - if was as fit as ever coming into preseason, how come he is this?

Done with him. Somebody else in as our #2 please
