Excellent first half. The drop off in quality was significant in the second half but we held our ground defensively for the most part and Johnson was sensational when necessary. Berna was an absolute workhorse today as well.

Got a bit lucky toward the end and relied on top class shithousery, but a very positive performance overall from the MLS Invincibles. Impressed with the shifts some of these guys put in.

I don't wanna be a hater lol during an unreal result - but look at that. Conway is gone as GK, we overhaul the staff and herdman brings in a completely new backroom staff (who I assume are allowed to do their jobs)- and every aspect of the team just appears dialed in and focused up at 110% in contrast to the past 3 1/2 years lol. I know its 2 games. I'm not talking about rationalizing some good outcomes. We genuinely look hella more structured in every area of park including SJ back in keep then we've seen since vanney.
Nobody could tell us we didn't deserve that one, the grit and team focus for the common goal we haven't seen in ages. I'm not on the hype yet because we still got a hard time with goals. But structurally we got somethin to build on here and build some positive morale.

Shame Prince didnt put that header in but at least he tracks back and sometimes turns the ball back over. Also can hold the ball with his back to goal. Here’s hoping for some goals for him. Akinola provides zero.

The biggest difference so far is our use of the field -- it's far more efficient, which is why the spread three at the back doesn't really matter -- and our defensive commitment. We're closing like a proper team, which is not that common in MLS these days.
