I wish all the early and late season games had afternoon start times.

Lol only one CNE game whats next no red jerseys good ole tradition.

Miami oct 5th lol either they dont want to be embarassed early in the season, they know theyll be competing for golden spoon- this ensures stadium is packed and most likely miami will have a secured playoff birth so we probably dont see messi - if we do it would be for like 20 minutes LOL

    What a joke

At least we can book the cottage for after the 13th July until 24th August and enjoy the summer.
What a waste of time that league cup is just another money grab by the suits in New York!

Is there any indication anywhere as to why the first 3 weeks are afternoons & then we go back to being evening fare?

I would welcome 2:30 or 2 pm kickoffs.

    ******

I wonder if Chris Armas will make it to that game against us in late September....

Miami game end of year, won't see Messi. He'll be in Argentina probably on international duty

Because it's warmer during the day so it makes sense early in the season to play afternoon. Messi will probably play but not likely 90 mins.

The only way Messi plays is if MLS makes Miami play him or Miami is still fighting for a playoff spot.
In my dark imaginings, TFC has another wooden spoon season where the last game means nothing except for a chance to see Messi, who doesn't show up. At that point I can see a sudden clamour for refunds, tanking of SSH numbers, social media lambasting, and *only then* will Manning be fired.

Messi will skip Vancouver too. 12 hours flight time round trip to play on plastic? With a game 4 days later? I don’t think so.

Yeah, you might be right. FIFA 2024 international window for men falls on October 7-15 with potential of them playing max 2 games in that window.
Miami comes on the 5th though so he might travel with the team and only play 20 minutes or so, especially if they have already qualified for playoffs. That's my guess anyways

the more ive been thinking about this schedule- it seems like TFC can influence MLS scheduling -especially knowing- the team is stuck with bad contracts and most likely wont be able to do improve the roster- based on that the influence to have miami play TFC as the last match to ensure the stadium is full.

the sad part is -they have been sending email blasts for package games- for example advertise 8 games but not include the miami game but at the top it shows Miami VS TFC -( very misleading marketing/advertising) purchasing this package will allow for pre-sale access for when the miami tickets go on sale)

its really low level cheapness- to rely on another team and their star player to generate sales- this means it seems front office knows there is no hope in undoing this mess curated by the man who has been to 5 MLS cups finals Bill Manning.

    Miami signed Leo Messi

    &

How many hundreds of thousands of people went "So when is he coming to Toronto"?

If MLSE didn't try to get as much out of this as possible (baring fleecing its own supporters), and getting as many as possible in for that game, we would be calling them incompetent.

A bit selfish, but I'm glad there's an away game in Vancouver.
Means I get to watch TFC! (albeit on plastic carpet)

Just got an email offer from TFC for 20 pack additional southend seats for this season. Hmm - ticket sales are struggling!

Yeh I got that email too. You have to be in the south already & it's an invitation to discuss availability with them.

It's not open to people beyond those already there.

Curious to know if it's dynamic depending on how much you're currently paying. I was offered it for $642 all in including taxes. Definitely not a good sign for ticket sales, you didn't used to be able to get anywhere near the south end season tickets. Still, I'd be shocked if this was something that made it to general sale, I suspect they'll be all taken in this round.
