That was just too close to call to overturn it, especially with the naked eye.
I actually thought the opposite. It looked to me that a direct line would've kept him on. He looked off because he was closer to the camera and it was further forward than either player. But I'm not surprised they ruled they were even.

    Benny Ball lives

Olsen always was good at creating a home field juggernaut - but Houston has arguably the worst away record of any playoff team with only 3 wins and 11 losses.

To me it wasn't clear and obvious enough to overrule.

But Cinci fans chant like Chicago & have the soccer knowledge of the average parent at an U-8 game.....its like somebody took a College football crowd, gave them more beer and said "Go!"....which if you know anything about how Cinci started in USL...is what they basically did.

In my mind, the Seattle-LAFC game was MLS cup. Congrats to LAFC on the repeat.

Yeah, four very good teams left at the end. Tough to rate but I favour Cincy doing the double.

The playoffs are still going? Wow, just wrap it up already, its should not take damn near two months to get a winner.

I see Acosta is the heir to the "small MVP who is always annoyed at the officials" throne...

This is how Nancy likes to play but my gawd, sometimes you just gotta take the open pass as against trying to dribble past 2 guys to get to the top of the box.

…..and another Shield winner goes down - 2017 TFC still remains the best team ever in this league - it’s so hard to do the double never mind the triple - maybe one day we will win more than 4 whole games in a season again —- Yeesh….

The small MVP comparisons continue - Acosta was injured during extra time and should have been taken off.

Cinci rolled over after the tying goal against - a team not used to people coming back at them, without a lot of its defensive steel, who had spent most of the game parked around its box - no resiliency.

That sort of a game can mark a team mentally.

Or it could simply be a matter of depth or the coaching staff going defensive too early and the team not being able to switch gears back to attack when it mattered. Those are both good teams in my opinion but Columbus is better.

There was some good football played last night. I just happen to catch it by chance (playoffs are too long and drawn out). The speed of play and the ability of those teams to quickly transition is really striking compared to watching TFC.

I am so happy we traded Bez. for Manning! Might go down as the most lopsided trade in MLS history

    4 pm...or so

    Might be a decent game

3252 got slapped for flares in their last game so not as many of them there - the whining from the "let people support as they want" crowd was pretty pathetic. Its a freaking fire hazard you num nuts.

I remember when Galatasary ultras set their roof on fire. Scary.

Smoke looks cooler anyway IMO and it's allowed.

The salary charge for all 3 of Columbus's designated players is $7.4M. While that's not zero, it shows you can build a good team without breaking the bank.

Columbus doing the Bundesliga style yelling of the players last names, something that TFC brought to the league.

Does RPB have an official rooting interest? -- do we simply cheer against our Trillium Cup rivals?! -- I mean its THE RIVALRY in MLS - who can forget all of that Trillium Cup history?.....its almost like Leafs vs Canadiens; Yankees vs Red Sox, Barcelona vs Real Madrid, Michigan v Ohio State......

Admittedly haven’t bothered watching any MLS for the past two years beyond TFC. Happy to see Columbus look like a real club and surprised by jump in quality.

I know we are supposedly rivals with the Crew, but they are so much fun to watch. Cucho is probably my favorite player in the league.

That through ball from Amundsen ... a world class pass. I always thought Amundsen was a journeyman at NYCFC. That is some high quality pro scouting by Bez right there.
