In that same vein, I would take Manning loaned out with no cap relief. #loanmanning

Of the players who might especially want to come to a TFC that no-one, not even management, is expecting to turn into a winning club in one season: hometown or Herdman guys (Layrea, Crepeau - these players, however, won’t come cheap)… or others for whom MLS is a step up (or promises to be so).

edit: Crepeau might open some budget if he takes a lower Tam deal than Johnson who is then moved. What is Johnson on, something like 1.1 million? Maybe Crepeau would take six or seven hundred thousand?

Handing Crepeau TAM money in a position we don't need help with, coming off a broken leg? No thanks. We're out here trying to shed bad contracts, not add to them.

Ah, interesting, thanks OG. I thought SJ was given a bigger raise when he signed from NYFC. He’s TAM though.

IIUC, according to MLS/PA, the maximum parameter for a bump in salary percentage may be plus 20%? So an increase to GC USD453K for Crepeau.

I rate him above SJ, he’s 6 years younger and will make maybe 220,000 less… but easier said than done. No doubt, as others have said, the keeper is the least of our worries.

But cap space and GAM should be near the top of our worry list and saving $220K + some GAM would be a good get right now.

    An actual dedicated defence coach?

Not sure we have had one since Frasier (and we complained at the time we were not good enough defensively).

Bogart reporting that both tfc and Bernardeschi want to move on.

Hopefully gets resolved soon. You cam get 2 very solid dps with his salary who complement insigne

Bernardeschi's contract runs through 2026. If he is loaned out for 1 year and Juventus decides to return him after that how does this help TFC?

^Bogert not actually reporting this. These fake news twitter accounts are out of hand.

If we can get rid of Berna, we can bring in someone who is actually fast to play on the right side of the front line, balance the field properly, and likely get more out of LI.

That’s the good news. The bad news is I doubt Berna leaves without us eating a portion of his salary.

At this point I'd be good with starting a Go Fund Me to get it done.

Bernardeschi leaving on loan doesn't help us at all. He would be returned to TFC mid-season unless Juventus for some reason wants to do a year long loan.

Another guy we just gave up on after Bradley initially tried to play him out of position, now attracting Serie B interest

Very quiet. The TFC Cone of Silence? Perhaps MC’s sitch is in a holding pattern until SJ’s is resolved?

One of several dumb Sporting Director Bob moves having to do with our younger players. And actually Petrasso was not bad at LB, he looked every bit like he’d be good given some time and patience. I think he played 10 or 12 matches there with Orlando despite the position being new to him. (Unlike putting Shaff there which was always not going to work out.)

bob made lots of awful moves (almost all) but petrasso has proven not to be an MLS player. he barely got a game at orlando last year, hence being looked at by teams at a lower level (serie b).
