Prediction - another embarrassment. Not much else to say at this point.
Just once, I'd like to see our interim manager do something bold and different, just to surprise our opponents. Play Almeda man-to-man ball, full field press. Run them like dogs. Anything to force them to be more aggressive, press properly, harass people. Do it with a fairly deep line so we're not chasing trap breaks all day.
We'll still get killed but at least we'll make their lives miserable in the process.
This is what we did in the old days when we were total shit. Those days won't happen with this squad because nobody out there would be arsed to put in the effort required to do this. Nobody is running all match or playing man-to-man. I don't care who the manager is or what they've done. The longest I could see our current squad buy in to any tactics besides doing what we've been doing for the past few months is maybe 2 matches or until we allow a goal. Whichever comes first.
I still don't understand why Herdman hasn't taken over yet. What's the point in waiting so long to have him take charge after announcing his hiring?
The last game of the ultra successful Dunfield era. Leave the memories alone.
So he doesn't have a large enough window for season members to see that this mess is beyond him to fix and not renew. Last thing Bill & Jason want is for Herdman to be found out as being subpar like Terry was after just a few matches. Not saying he will be but he might be.
Also I'm not going to go so far as to say the team is being set up to lose this final stretch of matches in the Dunfield era by multiple goals to nil and look terrible doing it so the Herdman era gets both an easier run out and a little shine heading into the off season.
But......
TFC best interim management = Javier Perez
Biggest Cajohnes= Javier Perez (only person to sit healthy MB for multiple games- I believe 7?) was the only time TFC moved the ball forward with quickness.
I really do think the failure here is not aligning a coach with LI/FB like Miami did with Messi.
Cinci wins & they claim the shield
Kris Cummins. Almost got us into the playoffs, then got screwed by the front office, who had promised him a work permit for his nurse wife. She had to go home, so he did too.
Never made it back to that level, as far as I know. Feels like he got a really unfair deal, got his shot to prove himself as a pro manager and it was taken away from him.
I'm not really sure about the personalities involved -- I really don't get that level of malice or guile off any of them -- but it did occur to me that maybe, for all of our much-vaunted youth not panning out, Terry was in there as a punishment. If he won, they'd still send him back to the academy and if he lost, he makes whoever comes after look better by comparison.
If the board IS paying attention to revenue streams it has doubtless not eluded their attention that the millions we've invested in youth play is producing little to nothing. We've spent FAR more on the training facilities and 15 years of youth clubs than on one winger from Napoli. And our biggest sale to date is still Mo Edu, isn't it?

Cash should start. I'm pretty sure Insigne is still "injured"
Toronto FC vs FC Cincinnati
BMO Field (7:30PM ET)
REF: Alex Chilowicz
AR1: Jeremy Kieso
AR2: Jeffrey Swartzel
4TH: Fabrizio Stasolla
VAR: Allen Chapman
AVAR: Claudiu Badea
Availability report:
OUT: Adama Diomande (lower body)
OUT: Lorenzo Insigne (lower body)
OUT: Sean Johnson (hand surgery)
OUT: Raoul Petretta (back spasms)
OUT: Greg Ranjitsingh (knee surgery)
OUT: Brandon Servania (lower body)
Can’t say I’m concerned about anyone but Johnson being unavailable.
Like i said. I'm pretty sure Insigne will be "injured" for the rest of the season.
Is the duffrin bridge still open to pedestrians?
"Failure simply isn't an option at this stage. TFC pushed its chips to the middle of the table when it splurged on Bradley and Defoe and reinforced its bet by making savvy acquisitions elsewhere. This collection of players is capable of delivering on the promises made during the close season. There are no more excuses available for TFC. Only success will continue the process of atoning for the past and establishing a higher standard for the future." FOX Sports

A 3 at the back formation?
They've been doing a formation post prior to the game - this one?
Hmmm...proud of them to do this

Well Jon Conway make his exit, TFC II GK coach David Monsalve is in the role tonight. Wonder once he knew he would not be part of Herdman’s staff he decide to leave immediately. Guess we will eventually see what is exactly happening in due time.
Remember The Man, The Legend, The Goal 5-12-07 and All That #9 Left On The Pitch, Thanks For The Memories !!!
I guess they are truly saving Cash and Prince for next season
