We have a chance to put a little dent in Vancouver's playoff run. I hope we take it.

It would be fun to win this one. No doubt.

Get him 5 free kicks within 25 yards and this will happen.

Personally, I am hoping same as last game, except maybe Cash or Prince instead of Kerr (even though Kerr had a great match).

Will Richie be able to CONCACAF any of our guys, will he be able to get under their skin even though they know him?

They should have the cap-tied rule still, where you can't suit up against a team you've already been registered for. It's been gone in the pros for many years but it avoided putting fans into situations where they're cheering against someone they appreciate. Plus, it would be totally self-serving for us in this game.

    Weird, isn't it.

Its not the winning - its the continuous journey.

It helps that we are no longer the most dysfunctional team in the league

Our opponent might have a familiar face on their bench.

Would be a better option than signing a nearly 37 year old who has played 37 minutes in the past two years. But, ticket sales.

I’d like to think Herdman would be able to convince Hoilett to come play for his hometown team.

He should also be demanding that Manning abstain from signing ticket sale gimmicks and focus on building a reputable football club.

I think Junior will be a really good player in MLS, this would be tougher to take if we hadn’t picked up Mailula, at this point better to go with youth.

Glad we didn't get him. That move reeks of the old Manning ticket sales initiative while ignoring areas of actual need. We are apparently already doing that with Giovinco so we don't need more of it.

Save the space and look for a legit #9 this winter. Don't fill in spots randomly to justify another ticket price increase.

He's an excellent player. It's a miss on our part if we could have him cheap. He's better than MLS, skillwise, even if he is up there in age.

Scott Arfield has had an immediate impact at Charlotte. Junior is a better player. Either would have benefited us.

Teams in this league need depth now, to rotate players. We need other wingers, not just the Italians, and he can play on either side, and as a wingback.

^ I think Jr is a really functional signing. My observation is the Nats play a lot better with him on the field. He’s sort of a utility knife on the left side playing anywhere from FW to left mid. Leadership aspect with him too. Does a lot of small things that help the team.

I get where he plays isn’t exactly a position of need. But this team badly needs more solid players and guys who glue a team together. Less youth players who are over hyped.

He is probably sub TAM level but he only signed for the remainder of 2023 so not a big miss for us since we're going nowhere.

At his age, I would hope so. He's a 35-45 minute player, but still well more mobile than Victor.

I mean, by the "this season is a write-off" quotient, no one is a miss. But I'd invite him to camp next year if Vancouver didn't sign him, take a look at least.

Who’s the backup again? I think he’s a pretty damn good defender, all else considered. Probably wouldn’t torch us going forward but he might do a bit better shutting down Fede and whoever the TFC fullback de jour is.

    Edit: typos

They used Raposo as their LWB before Adekube arrived.

Yep, definitely agree on Hoilett and Arfield.
