I don't share the initial hypothesis here, though I do believe Bradley remains very popular with most TFC fans, people cheering him isn't a way to judge that

Being frank I've never been a Bradley fan. He was good MLS mid fielder, no more no less, but I've always found him overrated and thought he puts his ego above the team and that holds back the team and his own performances

    I still cheered him

He's the club captain on our team and back after a long lay off and I'm there to support the team, of course I cheered him. Doesn't chance the fact I don't rate him that highly and don't think he should be here next season. He's just not done anything that would make me want to boo him. You can wait him to leave and still support him

Saying that as I said I do believe he remains very popular with most TFC fans. Just wouldn't read anything into cheers

Another thing from last night I was thinking. I was waiting for my son to get through the long Tiny Tom's line after the game and saw the police and security walking the Montreal fans out of the CNE. Question I have for TFC is why do have Montreal as one of the CNE games each year? They need to change this as of next year if they have any say which they must for Montreal to be here pretty much every year. It can't be down to luck of the draw. There have been so much problems with the fanbases getting together so why not have any US team here instead for the CNE games to reduce the added issues with having to escort Montreal fans out of the CNE. At least they escorted them out because in the past they did not and all fans got mixed up in the CNE midway where I have seen issues. Just more bad planning by TFC just like not having security at all for the previous Montreal game.

I think it's hard for ex players sometimes -- especially those in the same club system for a long time -- to see the forest for the trees. Remember, Coello wouldn't even have gotten much playing time this year if not for injury.

They didn't see Shaffelburg's value, they didn't see McNaughton's value. It's got to be a ground-level internal bias thing.

^ All the more reason to scorch the earth. What our management team doesn’t know could fill an ocean it seems.

I know that only too well. Thought he was our only chance to have an acceptable defence. Difficult to do much without that. And crazy after how long of rebuilding? that we have nothing like that. Richie was probably our best CB!

That’s too bad but he was excellent in his prior start, I thought. It would probably help if our back four didn’t suck and Ibarra didn’t play high, etc.

Hernandez needs to sit Dunfield down and let him know. Guys like Bradley are subs now. Here's the starting.

    ‐-----------Prince‐--------
    Insigne - Berna - Mailula
    ------Ibarra- Coello‐-----

This is exactly what I was expecting yesterday and instead I got slapped in the face with Bradley, Osorio, & JMR. Garbage starting XI any way you look at it.

It's really good to watch the game from up high in the stadium, where you can see things developing that are much harder to see on TV, or if you're closer to the pitch.

I agree that Bernardeschi played great for portions of the game. I also realize he can be quite problematic.

However, I saw something repeatedly last night that speaks to coaching, attitude, or both, and must completely drive Berna (and Insigne) nuts. There were some pretty good passes to Berna, over the top or down the wing. He would sprint to get the ball, but the guys behind him (midfielders and/or fullback) would just slow jog instead of running full speed to back him up. At most Berna would have 1 or 2 guys to pass to in the middle, but they were pretty easy to cover, and with Berna quickly under pressure it was hard for him to put in a good pass. (Plus a cross would often be with his weaker right foot.) Berna could try to dribble past some guys, and he would occasionally choose that -- sometimes successful, sometimes not. But with guys behind him being lame asses, he often didn't have a chance to pass back if he was under too much pressure. Note that these were mostly young guys that should be more fit to run for a full game than Berna. And of course, Montreal could see that, so they knew they could put maximum pressure on Berna and whichever striker might be in the middle.

Most of the time, Berna would have to hold the ball so long that Montreal could set themselves up perfectly. Or he might get stripped if he had to try and dribble through a cloud of defenders.

I was hoping for this, however, preferring Lollo in the hole and Fede on the left; yet Lollo seems to have more of an aversion to such a role than Fede. IMO, at the moment, he is the best distributor and dribbler we have. IIUC, historically, Fede has netted more from the left-to-centre.

IMO, the most interesting line-up from the roster I would like to see, for a half at least, would be...

    ----------PO---------
    ---FB----LI----CM---
    -----FI-------AC-----
    --RP--AM--LS--KF--
    -----------SJ---------

    SR for LS is fine.
    LB for KF is fine.

I wonder why we put ostensibly right footed Oso always as a Left mid. I think he would do better in tandem with Berna. Mind you, he does better in tandem with Insigne - JMR lessens Oso's mobility.

Yeh, so then I'm not sure what Oso's excuse for tonight is going to be - one of the worst games he's played in a TFC shirt.
