For anyone wondering ‘gardening leave’ means staying home during your notice period at the employers request. it happens when people are leaving jobs and people think it might be disruptive to keep them in the office, but is also associated with buyouts, where technically they’re still employed for a period but the employer wants the buyouts gone early.
I kid you not, I dreamed that Atiba Hutchinson was named TFC President. No idea where that came from but…
Upon sentient reflection… it sure feels like the sort of thing MLSE could do.
"There are some people who might have better technique than me, and some may be fitter than me, but the main thing is tactics. With most players, tactics are missing. You can divide tactics into insight, trust, and daring." - Johan Cruyff
Then I would prefer an ex-footballer with at least some practical experience. Say, perhaps a Jelani Akil Smith?
Some indirect chatter out there that Bruce Arena may be in play within the Eastern Conference at the end of the season. Supposedly contract already once extended and that extension is now either coming up or only has just a year remaining? Manager or President?
So can we rally the Manning out chant for Sunday’s game?
We need new ideas/blood a la St. Louis & Cincy.
Yes they are performing, still, those are some odd citations for me; mostly? IIRC/UC... For Cincy, isn't Chris Albright a disciple of Jim Curtain who's mentor was Bob Bradley? And isn't Pat Noonan a disciple of Bruce Arena? For STLCity, Bradley Carnell's RBNY lineage is not exciting. And Lutz Pf...l is the poster boy for footballin' nomad; and he was a GK? Though his Bundesliga and B2 management experience does carry weight.
bumping this again because he really needs to go.
dunfield interim looks another blunder.
I suspect somebody thought Dunfield would be a good guy who would calm things down & just go along with things and do the basics.
I don't think they thought the mentality of the team could crater this bad.
1 goal for and 14 against for Dunfield now in 6 matches. I wonder if he looks at this team like he did at the beginning and says... man... would you look at all that potential. This group is hopeless.
It has now gotten to the point where I am actually questioning if we will score again this season
Been around through a lot of the thick and the thin, and what’s happening with the club atm away from hernandez’ moves recently… feels like we’re approaching semi permanent levels of damage with regards to the rapport between the club and fans. Vibe wise things feel much more uncertain, jaded and disconnected now in the the armas/bob eras then it did during the winter/mariner/Nelson era.
im not so sure If we continue to get blown out and show that nobody in the dressing room cares anymore - that a new coach will lift spirits of fans and maybe players. I think there’s some real thick and permanent residue of negative judgement on Manning and even with a top coach - fans won’t likely accept it with full optimism at all if he’s still lingering.
I used to think he could just pull the token C suite/prez move of hiding away to let dust settle while the coach, Hernandez and their staff below him try to bail him while he’s at odds with stakeholder groups… but I don’t think that will ever fade now and save him. With how we are losing; the dead morale, the lack of fucks given from the players when they get scored on, humiliated and lose over and over. - can’t just see TFC fans accepting a new coaching hire if it’s manning doing it- knowing we are here because of 2 complete organizational rebuild fuck ups in a row under his sign-off
…since dec. 2020, out of 105 matches, we’ve only won 23 of them lol (21.9%). FC Cincinnati are at 15 mls wins this year - and it’s end-July lol. Total goal differential of -59 with avg ppg of .87 lol across these hires

I find it impossible to believe manning isn't dead and knows he's dead. Nobody is under any delusions about our season ticket renewals in the off season and that is basically what he's judged on. I suspect he's out and knows he's out, though obviously nobody else will be told about this until he's about to walk out the door
We as supporters should send a public letter to the MLSE board. Address it primarily to Edward Rogers, Larry, and the Bell CEO to avoid it becoming overly faceless.
Say they have failed in their role of overseeing the team and call on them to instil proper management and governance.
Worst case scenario, nothing happens. Best case, they are so annoyed by having their names in a public forum it actually spurs change in some small way.
there's the fan bbq tomorrow, i wonder if he will have the guts to show his face?
Does anyone at MLSE care about this team?
How is Manning still here?
And what would it take to finally get him fired? If destroying this team (with the highest payroll I might add) still isn't enough to get rid of him, is there ANY scenario he gets fired?
