I am referring to plays like at Nashville when he made a seriously poor sideways pass near the centre line and just gave it away. He does track back hard for it when it happens but if he is dropping deep in midfield then the same rules apply for whoever is there because if it goes the other way for a goal against it doesn't matter if a winger or a CM gave it up, it's still a GA.
if he has to drop back to get touches, what would we say normally for a winger? He's being forced to play everywhere due to the inadequacy at striker, we know he's not supposed to be a CM. If he were a CM, we'd be concerned and rightfully so. Just like we are discussing with MAK.

Him dropping back for touches is an issue with our system and also because he is triple teamed often since there aren't any other dangerous offensive weapons out there. He really doesn't have any choice if he wants to influence the match but that doesn't excuse him from poor passing. If the player puts himself in that area of the field then he is as responsible for his passing as everyone else because that's where counters happen fast.
