To be fair, in the case of Bedoya I would expect that both sides had talked about/knew this either at the start of the year, or I'd think definitely by summer.

Not to sound entirely heartless, but it’s my observation that most teams can’t help themselves when it comes to balancing the two of these.

Rather we keep it straight down the middle. You can honour people while not automatically cementing them into first team plans and/or have them be permanent fixtures around the club.

Toronto-born kid who has been playing pro in Romania. Has one senior cap for Romania, but is eligible to switch to Canada in Nov 2024. Interesting one to keep track of for those interested in the national team. If TFC had signed him, would've been fun to speculate with Herdman being the ex-CMNT coach
