Bringing Gio back is having a sound striker up top. He can still bring it as have certain 36 and older players. These kinds don't shrivel and die, they have a different dynamic then alot of people, it's called competitiveness and knowing how to show up when need be.

    Does TFC's defence suck?

I will reserve judgement, but Prince didn't look very good last night.

Understand this position. Will you at least agree that CJS looked even worse last night?

He didn't look amazing but I don't think he looked awful either.

Why Dunfield took him off for Sapong when Insigne came in made no sense to me.

Like we want to see Prince work with Insigne.

he didn't but the team as a whole looked terrible as well, until insigne came on.

Sapong had a single goal or something like that in the year prior to joining us. Prince came from the German 3rd division, no? Why are we surprised at all at the quality? This is how TFC intends to win the league? Laughable. Fire all those strikers and get a DP striker, then we can start to compete again.

2nd division. He had something like 7-8 goals in his last 10 matches for the club.

I will want to see a full match of him working with Insigne before I judge.

no, he scored double digit goals in the german 2nd division for a team that got relegated.

also is a cheap punt with a pretty short contract. if he's bad, won't really hinder us in any real way.

This is one of the things that surprised me last night. Why TDunfield isn't/won't be the guy; hopefully sooner rather than later. Prince should have stayed in. The other was Ibarra. He was roaming a number of times way up the pitch by the end of the first half; was this an in-match tweak by TD design or by the player's own frustration?

Dunfields lineup and subs were a big frustration point. If Insigne was heathy to come in 2nd half, why not start the match and give us a full squad? Could have ended 1-1 at half instead of 2-0.

No, that's how they were set up. He had Ibarra and Osorio playing as advanced players and Bradley as a true six.

It didn't work. Ibarra is used to teams that have supportive movement and kept isolating himself. Bradley has no wheels.

Also, the predictability of having Michael cycle back to receive the first pass traps us in our end repeatedly. The moment that stopped, we were better off.

Bradley dropping back behind the CBs is infuriating. I hate, hate, hate it! All useless touches going nowwhere and leading to nothing but our opponent getting men behind the ball and double teaming Berna and Insigne. He thinks he is like prime Modric and Kross controlling the game I guess ffs. Problem is prime Luka and Toni are doing it when Real is/was up killing off the game....Bradley does it for no reason other than to touch the ball and feel a part of the game I guess.

I thought Prince demanded more of his teammates then Sapong. And he moved better - decent hold up play.

JMR as your left forward did not help.

Price impressed me live. He has wheels and demands the ball..

What we sorely lack is a true RB, a CB who can move the ball up and a GK who can run the back line

Do you think his sacrifice means he has to be shown the door out of TFC or does TD get to return to his prior role?
