I wonder if we'll keep Luke Singh, coming back from the CPL? Has anyone watched him there enough to know if he's improved. He's 23 now, I think, and have to figure it's sort of now or never to make at least a depth offering.
Yeah for me personally if there's any lessons learned about our academy record and how some of our exports seem to find the next step when they change scenery with a new coach, I almost think most of our academy lads need to come back and be given a full year under herdmans coaching setup/systems and see if they can free their minds a little bit.

Definitely not what you are saying, more just adding to the point - but for example lol i feel like franklin is one of those type of wide players that would get shipped to nashville or St Louis and become an absolute stud or very consistent mls starter lol out wide. Hopefully the academy grads and younger guys get a year under the Herdman system, and if they aren't cut out for it - they get humbled as bench depth and eventually moved on. Maybe herdman with an eye on proper development can put them on a progression plan or set smaller benchmarks/milestones to achieve to gain confidence and mls calibre skills.

If we fail to win on Saturday we'll have a total of 19 MLS wins over the last 3 seasons.

In 2017 we won 20 MLS regular season games.

The question is no longer if we will lose but instead how much we will lose by....

Scoring a goal is now considered a victory in my eyes. Even if we lose 5-1

Since July 1, we've scored in 4 of 15 games

Only 5 days until we move this into the TFC 2024 Player Off-Season Discussion thread. Man it's been a trying year.

I know his legs are gone and he's 36, but I feel a genuine sense of loss. He's been the heart of the club for years.

    We should retire his number.

i agree. 17 years into the club's existence, he's played in every single playoff game the club has, and over 300 appearances. taken less money on contracts **twice** in order to help the club sign better players.

they should absolutely retire his number.

An absolute legend and arguably best player to ever wear the TFC kit, for his loyalty and longevity to the club.
He deserves a roaring applause and send off.

This does truly feel like the end of an era. Glad Michael decided on this before his final home match.

I wonder if it will turn out that we used some form of a buyout on MB.

I'm also curious what he does next, I assume he's leaving the club as they would have mentioned otherwise but they didn't confirm that explicitly, right?

I speculated earlier that he might try broadcasting. He has very high name recognition in the US.

Wouldn't surprise me to see him on the Apple MLS Wrap Up panel next season as an analyst.

He speaks five languages fluently, is an exceptionally well-read dude, and he has about $40M in the bank. He can do pretty much whatever he wants.

I suspect getting coaching licenses in Wales was not a lark, and that he'll go into it at some level. Doesn't preclude also broadcasting, but he might not want the attention, and he certainly doesn't need the money. I can see him writing a book.

He would be like a DeGuzman broadcasting. Thinks of things too technically and the thoughts all slide together in word salad.

But JDG is much improved with time maybe Bradley would be the same.

My bet is he does the coaching route straight up. Does 1-2 years as an assistant and the good old MLS fraternity has him preordained and he’ll get a head coaching job somewhere. Not that I don’t think he’d be good at it but clearly he’s chosen people,

I'd love to see him write a book on fitness, conditioning and preparation cause he absolutely excelled at that.

I'm willing to bet he still has a bigger engine than the majority of the kids on the team.

That salary dump makes an Insigne 3/4's of a Messi.

Glad the person who made that deal is no longer around, oh wait ....
