They have children chanting to replace the supporters group. It feels like a surreal "and the children shall lead" thing. Ewww.

We will miss Richie, if he doesn’t stay.

the passing is the real big problem, some of these basic short passes are being messed up...

Midfield is out of gas.that's another issue with our present threesome. One is old, the other two have had significant injuries. We look totally gassed now.

Exactly. Pretty disjointed mostly due to unfamiliarity.

the play there looked really good in the build up too. I'm encouraged by some pieces but we should be appalled by some of the midfield control (cough Kaye).

Second to then all too many times, waiting too long to pass too many times, Kaye's passing in particular was woeful.

Still, preseason with lots of new faces.

The test begins when it counts. If we get off to a terrible start, with this much obvious quality, folk will be peeved.

    we need another midfielder badly.

all in all lots of promise, problems largely arose from unfamiliarity and lacking sharpness in front of goal.

we didn't give up a lot of chances, delgado scoring a 40 yard banger is a very preseason thing to happen.

worrying for me is that kaye, despite doing a decent amount of good stuff, coughed the ball up in dangerous spots a few times too. hopefully just a sharpness issue and gets smoother as we go forward.

The defense actually did look solid aside from the desire to tackle (in pre-season, I can kinda forgive it) - we can't have Fede and Insigne doing all the work (Fede especially)

the first goal was largely a breakdown in communication, should be cut out with more familiarity.

and yes, they limited them to very few actual chances, which is a nice change.

i'd feel way better if we brought in another midfielder though. or 2.

Yeah, competition needed at the least.

If we're that sloppy against good teams we'll bleed points.

DC to start the season could be a blessing however. We should rip that defence a new one.

I was grumpy watching that but considering our last minute goal and maybe some shitty officiating (could have had a pen in there somewhere) maybe it’s not all bad.

But I will say this: our midfield is shit defensively.

Yeh, my biggest takeaways are work in progress in the back & front but middle doesn't support our defence good enough.

That and the day MB doesn't start and we actually don't play square ball after square ball from the CB's to a midfielder to start an attack - this will be a good day. There is absolutely no need to start with ball to MB to begin every forward movement.

I only watched to about the 75th minute, but I thought we created enough chances. Bet our xG was over 2.5.

The broadcast was pretty crap. Hope that’s just Apple getting up to speed in the pre-season.

Or a Canada match for the Women/Boys/Girls.

Anything on the Supporters ban? Not that that would've filled the stands but at least we wouldn't hear a pin drop like last night.

The difference in pace from MB has gone well past "slowing the game down". This will be a difficult season for him I'm sure.

    Canadian "discount".

But really, he WAS on an upswing finally and it's a shame after all the hard work and turning it around he's not responded positively to his move home.

I hope he can settle down this season and get back to LA / COL standards.

I wasn’t even talking the commentary, which was just ok. I didn’t have the score or time onscreen at any point. Saw no replays on the VARed goal. At halftime the commentators were clearly replaying highlights from the half but we just got the empty pitch on-screen. Terrible graphics too.
