Reynoso suspended for missing pre-season. The club appears to not know why. Same club that took Kemar Lawrence off our hands... and who also missed much of preseason without explanation.

That is odd, even harsh? Common (public) knowledge for a while he was experiencing 'personal' issues. Suspect club would know the details; have been informed of. Perhaps a MLS courtesy to him until there is a legal determination; to not pour further fuel on any fire of the situation or his reputation. Seems he may be facing assault charges in Argentina on a teenager from DEC21?

Why? The average employee doesn't get unlimited time off for 'personal issues.' Certainly, facing an assault charge doesn't generally win anyone sympathy points.

He may not be able to report due to a judicial condition? Had to surrender his passport?

Oh, possible I suppose. Doens't seem likely though. THey usually only do that when a person is a risk of not returning to the jurisdiction.

Worse. IIUC, there may be no presumption of innocence for the purposes of US immigration, which means that as soon as you are arrested/charged for a crime, you may risk being denied entry into the United States; 'if your situation is discovered', nowadays just a google/social media search away. Once flagged/denied, you are in another level of bureaucracy; dystopian absurdity.

LAFC's stadium has a new naming sponsor, BMO (BMO has moved in a big way acquiring US business). Their stadium will be known as BMO Stadium. So TFC could play in BMO Field one week, followed by BMO Stadium in the next.

I am not sure where to post this but I feel that I have to make a statement in regard to the National program.
Again we read that the vultures at the CSA are under cutting the Mens and Womens programs to line their own pockets.
I came to live in Canada in 1975 and it has been like this now for 48 years no wonder the likes of DERO have had run ins with the hierarchy in years gone by.
Nothing will change until the present way of doing things is torn down and replaced by real football people not vultures with gold Visa cards and fancy suits feeding of the house league/Rep money they squeeze out of parents.

Why are we all going along with this?

The newspapers and media are not owned by BMO. They should just be calling it LAFC Stadium, or something more clear or meaningful than these endless ever-more-confusing names…

In the short run, how about we just call our pitch David Miller Field?

The city / MLSE or whoever holds the stadium naming rights could have said no to any corporate name and instead named the stadium after a distinguished Torontonian

Naming rights only have value when we all behave in ways that create that value.

I am calling them David Miller Field and LAFC Stadium, henceforth

When the primary discussion providers about a place are compelled to call said place by a corporate name, then that is what will stick.

The issue here is actually that of access to information - the a lack of an independent press & the lack of any willingness within any independent press left to rock the boat in order to maintain access.

There is also the thought that the most important aspect of said place is what happens there, not its name.

Don't worry OtG, MLSE et al. are about to be exposed to all sorts of independent press/social media scrutiny as a result of some indirect and unwitting involvement in last evening's bombshell. I suspect it may create a realpolitik PR issue, headaches, for the organization to deal with in the next month/s, perhaps year; re: WC26 and facility participation/preparation.

I'm going to put this out there to the ether as an HR professional.

Any relationship of a work subordinate to a supervisor is defacto abuse by the supervisor. The behavior of the victim, said subordinate staff member, during & after said relationship is of no concern to anybody. I find the media's attempt to discuss that staff member's behavior despicable.

That is not the story. Unfortunately, some of this story's breadcrumbs lead to MLSE's doorstep.

Please don't make oblique hints to knowing more about a story unless you have first-person evidence of something. It's just irritating, trying to 'coax' a rumour out of someone. If you have something about the subject, just say it. This is not Twitter.

To be fair, our home is called "BMO Field," whilst theirs is "BMO Stadium."

Still, it DOES boil my bile.

You are correct… Field & Stadium

Unless I am wrong, the nickname for LAFC’s stadium is also “The Bank”. It was in the news a couple of weeks back and BMO acquired the retail bank down there. I do think the price is obscene for the perceived value, considering BMO Stadium will not host any WC26 Games. Maybe they will get Gold Cup or Copa America Games…. Who knows.

I wonder if showing a blue BMO Bank Card will get people priority access gates . LOL

The Bonnetta interview mentioned the North American soccer community's self deprecating humour

Never heard of this person. The article describes her as the face of TFC. That’s news to me.

Not sure if you were around for the early years but she was voted by the fans to be the “brand ambassador” for TFC. Put out some really funny/witty social media stuff for the club and then went off to bigger stuff in the US

TFC sure could use some type of ambassador. It's easier to obtain classified CIA documents on the JFK assassination then news on the club. Even Wheeler and Dunfield haven't done a podcast since last October. Has MLSE given up on TFC?

Recognized Rachel Bonnetta more from her brief stint at YTV- afternoons; one on my children was at the age at that time.

Curious to learn if new banners by The RPBs are being considered? Maybe one for TFC's first home match of this season? FYI... Just noticed another supporters group-KITN is working on (a) banner(s). Seems they may be making at least one contemporary reference to Letterkenny's Reilly and Jonesy with 'FERDA', that is, 'for the boys'. Without being privy to any updates, knowing what The RPB Banner Committee may be working on... a simple banner suggestion, perhaps of... WELCOME HOME VV! and underneath that... BIENVENIDO EL MAGO! to acknowledge beloved Victor Vazquez's return.

They've had a number of promo images for this season so far, and everyone seems to be wearing last year's jersey or something very similar.

Perhaps they saw the react to that grey-striped monstrosity and shitcanned it?

    We can live in hope.

Why not join the RPB and help out? The committee doesn't take suggestions from the board, but people who help out have influence.

So Bars in the US will have access to MLS games for $100 a season.

No word on Canadian options...baring using a VPN.
