Former TFC II Defender Brandon Aubrey won the Dallas Cowboys' kicking job this past weekend, nailing a 59-yard field goal in a win against the Raiders.

No playing during International dates next year, potentially.

Looks like they don't want Messi to miss games.

I'm not sure how they will manage that with the break for leagues cup. It will be heavy schedule congestion, but I do like the fact that they would observe the international breaks.

Don't think TFC can start any earlier. It's already nearly always road games due to weather. Make the season any longer and it'll be snow ball.

Not anymore, we have had home games in February. It can be dam cold if not unbearable. Weather at that time of year is a crap shoot regardless even as we get into April. Not saying going any earlier would be ideal by any means but is doable at least on paper anyways.

Tyler Miller out for at least a month in DC. So They'll be relying on former TFC starter Alex Bono in their push for the playoffs.

I'd be ok with starting earlier with a few away games if it meant we were t missing half our team for some games.

The gold cup break essentially ended our season this year.

The technical play in the LAFC Miami game is quite good - well apart from LAFC's finishing that is.

Robin Fraser was fired by Colorado today. Immediately on the Reddit MLS forum a thread springs up, its consensus that Robin Fraser is a great coach and it's all the owners fault.

Robin Fraser has a lifetime 31% winning record as a manager, has lost 20 games more than he has won across four-and-a-half seasons.

This league has so many narratives that just seem to be ephemeral community bullshit.

While I agree that he was set up to fail at the Rapids, he also doesn't have a good history of winning minus that one fluke season at Colorado.

Both could be true but yeh...he really is an MLS 1.0 coach that people don't realise is not all that good.

From everything I have heard about him and it’s when he was here at the club… is that’s he’s a good number 2 and can provide structure for a defence. But in their opinion he’s wasn’t a natural leader.

I love it. He is my alltime favourite red. (Although I have no idea what this job really is about.)

Herdman will know Ashtone, Ashtone was towards the end of his Canada career when Herdman was appointed but would have been in multiple camps with him.

From what I read he will be helping the transition of younger players through the academy ranks right up to the first team. It really is an ideal role for him

Well, while still speculative, perhaps a real indication that Bruce Arena may no longer be part of the NER…

Did you see the fiasco going down in New England.

Depending on how much of The Athletic's piece is true -- and their record is not perfect in this regard -- the complaints, or some of them, against Arena were filed by his assistant Richie Williams, whom he had already told would not be returning next year.

It appears there was some kind of falling out during the season, with Arena freezing out Williams and sporting director Curt Onalfo, guys he's worked with for decades.

It sounds like some of it was player personnel related, some tactical. But it's definitely gotten personal in some regard.

My guess -- and it's just that -- is it's probably a bullying sort of thing, given the power dynamic, or the perception of such. He has a rep for being a tough bastard and guys who've put up with that for a long time, then get cut loose, might well decide it's time to stop putting up with it.
