By the looks of things, Club Foot wanted some indigenous phrasing but didn't realise the length of the process necessary to get to the point where that would be doable is not controllable.

Reasonable and likely explanation. Seems CFM announced the original re-branding about 14JAN21. After serious supporter backlash they re-branded again about 17NOV22; Covid effect? Still, 'adidas' should be able to expedite- design and produce- 30 to 40 x 3 each- jerseys for the starting contingent in mitigation and meantime. Given the 17NOV22 TO 25FEB23 timeline, I suspect someone could have even secured a sanctioned knock-off total production for just the starters from North America; let alone China. I think the excuse they provided is more a matter of corporate governance convenience than being the actual delaying obstacle; that initiative could have been simply set aside for the next rendition of their jersey.

Regarding and referencing some of the above... seems TFC may have gone left-field in their design? I would have preferred a look more along the lines of all/mostly red with a NYCFC pattern?
BTW... did adidas/MLS give TFC's kit layout to, mix it up with the, Seattle Sounders FC?

I have to say a lot of the new kits are looking great. TFC's, assuming it's the one that was previously leaked looks absolutely terrible in comparison.
Loving the new Portland one, Columbus, Philly, NYRB and NYCFC. I even like the Houston one.
Austin.. Barf.. looks like the same garbage that TFC is getting except it's vertical.
man so many teams have really cool concept kits, we can't do that even once?
there's so much history and culture in toronto to lean on.

For me I think the FC Dallas Burn kit takes the offseason for me. Also FWIW the kits this year have been a major step up all around IMO.
Still holding out hope that our kit leak is inaccurate.

Hoping the TFC one isn't ugly, but I'll keep wearing my unbranded year one kit if I need to. Really wish I could have the BMO rescreened on my 2nd gen LS kit.

Not sure if it may have already been mentioned, however, IIRC, the adidas kit contract for MLS may be up for renegotiation soon; this year or next? So it may explain their best feet (designs) forward to date efforts?

So far the only jersey I've seen as poorly designed as ours is the Fire one.
Edit - Add in Vancouver's now that I saw it. Re-using an old, boring Fire jersey is still boring and now also terrible.
